Tigers vs. athletics Game Thread Sept. 19

85 through 4 for jv? yikes he's just not looked that great for a couple of months now.

Come on Omar don't make up your mind to swing before he throws the pitch... 10 feet outside and you can't hold up.

Then some junk ass pitcher gets the benefit of the doubt on close calls against the Tigers.

Been all season like that... It is the ESPN/media's conspiracy against all teams in the state michigan..

When your organization teach this type of plate disciple or approach you can rack up pitch counts...

I'm guessing yes too. He's just starting to find his groove (kidding). I hope they take him out for the 6th. Listen, it wasn;t pretty, but you got 5 scoreless innings. Lets hope the BP can shut them down for a second night.

I think it will come down to how many runs the Tigers score in this frame. If it's 5 or 6-0, there is no reason to put V back out there w/o his even close to best stuff.

Well boys, I was able to watch much of the first 4 innings of the game on cigar night,

another game with an ump having a tight strike zone,

JV looked pissed a number of times not getting a call on the corners/black,

about 25 two strike fouls by the a's certainly added to JV's pitch count,

We need a shortstop that has more range than a water buffalo, Peralta is like a statue....
and gets an error when he could have 2 if not 3 for the game,

I laugh every time Cabrera catches a pop-up. I don't know why, but I find it hilarious how he freezes for a couple of seconds after he gloves it.
