Tigers vs. athletics Game Thread Sept. 19

That being said, JV gave us 6 scoreless, the bullpen has to be able to hold this lead. Nice if the offense could tack another 1 or 2 on as well.

Verlander gets handshake from Leyland. He uses 122 pitches, but gets 6 scoreless innings, 0 runs 5 hits 3 walks 5 k's.
Dotel warming up in bullpen.

How is it that this seemed like it was a crappy night for JV but he gave up zero runs? I don't have human expectations for him.

No kidding. It feels like we're losing.

Just a frustrating outing with all of the foul balls and shit strike zone.

My God he clocked another, missed the first belt to letter high, next one is crushed to left,
homerun,

Tigers lead 5 - 0,

Keith Law is furiously thinking up excuses to use when his twitter gets bombed again tonight.

Cabrera has homered on 0-2 pitch for 4th time in 2012, the 16th time during his career. #Miggy4MVP

Funny, if you were watching espn, boone said, "I still would have trout as mvp", 5 seconds later, miggy crushes it.

Cabrera's home run was his 16th in the 7th inning-or-later this season, four more than any other player in the majors. Miggy4MVP.
