There is no basis to this statement. I just looked through his game logs and the box scores of all his homers in losses. 3 came while they were leading and later lost and the other 4 all brought the tigers within 1 run. Clearly making this comment untrue. Stats on their own don't tell a story. They need context.

I was looking at some of the exclusive clubs that Miggy is in or will be shortly. I was wondering about Pujols but it appears that his BA being lower due to him playing until he is 41. His stats are amazing too. The two of them may be the 2 best right handed hitters ever?

Pujols has right around 1800 more PA. Take that away or give them to Miggy and they're really close on most stuff. In the end I think Miggy is the better player.
