Tigers SRD Podcast: Miguel Cabrera's 500th home run/Tigers ML Report 8/16-8/22. 70 minutes.

Rogelio comes back from vacation as the guys recap the big day in Detroit Tigers baseball as Miguel Cabrera hits his 500th home run.

The Ryan Kreidler experience continues to do well in Toledo.

Riley Greene has a day.

Beau Briske, Brendan White and Miguel Del Pozo had a good week.

I wonder if Hill has a good enough bat to stick around? During his minor league career, he doesn't seem to get on base and doesn't hit for power.

I'm still holding out hope that his bat isn't done developing. His first 5 years he missed so much time with injuries that I'm sure it stunted his development. With his defense all he really needs is a .750 ops to be a solid player imo

Hill is a terrific defensive Outfielder as we have seen with the Tigers. He was just as great in the minors, but his bat took years to come around.
Even now, he strikes out too much, and has had several injuries including TJ?

Last year iirc he developed some power. I think it will always be in question, unless the hitting coaches can help him a little more. Still though when a player reaches a certain age into his later 20's he is what he is.

Probably not an every day starter just yet but can play irregularly starting and late innings as a defensive sub.

Tigers starting pitchers became the first MLB staff this season to allow three-or-fewer total earned runs in a series against Toronto (min. length three games).
