biggunsbob[/color]]I mean the Tigers have only two decent guys in the pen.. All of the relief pitchers we have have had trouble at times this year.. Some of money coming off the books next year should be spent on the Pen..

Don't we have 10 arms in the minors just ready to go??? ;)

Well Oliveros will be missed.

but we need to spend big time in the off season, we need a corner OF, a second baseman, a starting pitcher, and bullpen help.

Agree,agree,agree,agree.

maybe it's me but I don't see the tigers going after anyone in the pen this offseason.

you got albaquerque ,pauley, coke, benoit, and valverde lined up....fill in with some combo of

below, schlereth, perry, zumaya, Ni, Wilk, weinhardt...etc.

Coke 7th inning, Inge at 3rd,

fukudome lines a single to left,

donald strikes out swinging on a nice curve,

hannahan runner going and grounder to Cabrera makes a nice stop looks at second and steps on first,

marson aka FF swings and misses at 95, again at 95, fastball outside, low in the dirt blocked, grounder to Peralta,

6 more outs,

Tigers lead 8 - 7.

Zumaya?

I highly doubt he will ever pitch in the majors again.

We need some runs obviously, and like to see Cabrera with some homeruns. He has been quite a bit behind last years pace.

Cabrera up third this inning; hasn't done much so far today...hopefully he's due, with a runner or two getting on ahead of him...

SP is prob going to be dependent on turner's development....agreed on 2b, and corner OF depends on whether Detroit offers young arbitration.

3b also a need. Betemit is a FA.

would like to see detroit make a splash in a trade for a 2b or 3b personally.

I think they should call up Jacob Turner. Even if he has 3 or 4 more starts this year, put him in as a spot starter. I don't trust Porcello.

I would love to see us blow this back open to about a 5 run lead.

Would suck so bad for Valverde to have a chance at a blown save vs. the Indians when we need to sweep them.

Turner will be up in Sept.

But it would be a big mistake to try to make him the 5th starter next year.

He still needs another season in the minors, haven't we learned out lesson about rushing pitching up to the majors?
