Brantley's single on 0-2 pitch to start this go-ahead rally raised average against Porcello on 0-2 pitches this year to .333 (7-for-21).

How is that even possible? Pathetic... That has to be the worst number in the majors.

he has absolutely not out pitch. really, he only has 1 good pitch, the splitter, and when its not working (about half the damn time) he just cant get people out consistently. he needs a long stint in the minors to work on his secondary pitches...or we need to trade him for a bat while he has at least some value.

Look at the AL and NL East cellar dwellers, NYY and PHI are not that bad, and BAL is not that good, not second best team in baseball good.

Lots of consistent play, for sure...but also a season's worth a bad breaks/shitty umpiring...

I have counted 4 or 5 1st pitch swings that were outs.

This road trip could be really tough to watch.

Yes and to be told on a 0-2 count with only one pitch and nobody on base throw one way off the plate... heck i told my girls softball team of 10 and 11 year olds to even do that a few years back...

Was really hoping they could find away to get one tonight as I really like our chances with Fister and JV for the 2nd and 3rd game of this series. All the first pitch swining just kills me, I don't understand why so many of these guys just continue to make the same stupid mistakes over and over and over again. It's truely the definition of insanity with this offense. At what point is someone held to account? I mean I can understand first pitch swining if the pitcher is pounding the strike zone but Ubalo walked 6 and guys like Kelly and Delmon up there hacking away. I don't get it.
