Tigers vs. indians Game Thread May 24

I just wanna punch that old fucker in the face when he says things like that. Be a man and own up that you're not doing your job and your players aren't responding to you. How do you NOT know what's meant by that question??? So sick of his ass...

I do find it odd how he always says I don't know, I don't think so, you'll have to ask them. etc.. does he not know or have much of a repor with the players does he just sit in his office all the time or something?

I peg him as a guy that doesn't give a shit about the media so he talks as vague as possible to avoid going into detail.

+1

Leyland has always been a guy who feels if there are problems within the clubhouse, they shouldn't play out through the media.

It's probably because most questions are just recycled.

I'm sure this question has been asked a ton of times, and answered.

Yeah, I wouldn't read into Leyland's dealing with media at all.

And with the exception of Boesch and Young, he's right, they don't need to change their approach at the plate.

Were not getting clutch hits, but changing approach, or extra BP as someone suggested does not make a player a better clutch hitter.

DY and BB I think need to change their thinking of swing early, swing often and swing at everything, and they would both draw more walks, or at least get better counts to hit in.

The others guys I don't see anything wrong with their "approach at the plate" whatever that means, hits are just not dropping like they should, but I don't think it's approach.

The Tigers absolutely have to change their approach at the plate.

They have to start taking the approach of getting base hits when runners are on base in scoring position.

Honestly, I'd be interested in hearing the definition of "approach at the plate", or at least what people think it means.

Because after reading the comment from Leyland and everyone's reactions, I'm finding I have no clue what the fuck whoever asked the question was talking about either.

"Approach" seems to be pretty vague.

they need to stop taking strikes and swinging at balls. were having awful at bats.

To me approach would mean go up there looking for a certain pitch or two in mind with less than 2 strikes before you commit, instead of just swinging at anything and everything that looks hittable. Each person is different, there is no 1 solution fits all. Some of the guys IMO just don't seem to be going up there with any particular pitch in mind that they are looking for, DY, JP, Miggy, BB I think are the worst offenders of this IMO but i'm sure many others have had their share also.

It doesn't show as much with Miggy because he's so good he can still hit some of that crap but man how great would he be if he was more selective. BB should at times should go after the first pitch also, that's what got him to the show, he juts needs to recognize when he's doing it too often and project better when the pitchers are going to try and make him case the first one. You have to mix it all up and keep em guessing when he gets to predicable there is no reason to give him anything to hit.

I think they need to do a better job of going up with there with a game plan as to what pitches they are going to try and sit on. I don't think enough of them do this at all. At least that's the way it looks on TV from the lazy boy. LOL

I hate it when i'm right. verly pitches his ass off and they don't give him nothing. Wow!!!

You dirtymotherfuckingcocksuckingpieceofshitfuckinghackfuckers
sorry tourettes.
seemed appropriate after reading the game thread and seeing it was another fuckdiculous offensive performance, lack of.
