Tigers vs. indians Game Thread Sept. 15

We'z running wild on Masterson, no longer at the bottom in steals just passed Baltimore.

Omar steals 2nd ball goes to center and he aggressively makes it to 3rd. Who is this team...I haven't seen them this year.

Leyland, if he thinks about no extension yet for 2013: "Not one bit. That will take care of itself. I don't want to be a distraction."

Avisail Garcia taking fly balls, line drives in LF in batting practice again today. Will start somewhere Monday against Sox lefty Quintana.

Boesch's swipe of 2nd gives Tigers first multi-SB game since July 24, also in Cleveland.
indians radio says jimenez pitching Sunday is easiest to steal on.

Boesch at Comerica park 2012: .229 .271 .386 .657

Austin Jackson, run producer. Sac fly makes it 3-0 Tigers in the top of 4th. Detroit working Masterson's pitch count, too ? 83 already.

Masterson has trouble finding the strike zone vs. lefty bats.

4PM start in cleveland giving batters and infielders a tough sunfield.

Was listening on XM for awhile with a cigar. it's just awful, archaic, and complete bullshit with fox sports having a monopoly on any game shown between 1 and 7 on Saturdays.
I was shocked that the boston feed is the yankees rays game.

Avila doubles in Boesch...Verlander being inerviewed and says yes, I keep my interview scoring streak alive.

Berry grounds to short Cabrera throws to 3rd since it was his only play and the 3rd baseman isn't on the bag...ball gets away and Avila scores. 5-0.

Sounds like a complete clown show with the indians on defense today,
3 indians errors,

Tigers lead 5 - 0.

Aside from the fact everyone in the park knew he was going to run....it was stupid to steal anyways, 2 outs any hit he was going to score anyhow....so what was the point of stealing 3rd, and making the last out as a runner in scoring position?

Total bonehead move.

indians radio announcer tom hamilton's theory: tigers KNEW avila missed 3rd...berry get himself thrown out intentionally...interesting.

Theory was spot on. Avila's run from last inning erased because he missed 3rd base. Putout goes 1-5. Now a 4-0 game after 5 innings.

chisenhall standing on third when the throw was to him was the appeal. Dan and Jim contend the team is supposed to ask for an appeal.

That's what I was thinking. You're already in scoring position w/ 2 outs. You score on any hit.
