I would have rather he not have given up the run, and gotten through the inning unscathed without having pitched quite so well, nevertheless...

Well obviously, I would rather he didn't give up any runs but that's not realistic to expect. Just saying it's nice to see him come back from that and k the next two guys.

Yes, I was goofing.

Once the ball left park, K - ing the next two batters was the best possible outcome, which happened.

Texas losing, it would be really nice to catch them and get home field in the first round.

Will only be half a game out if both scores hold up.

We probably have an easier remaining schedule as well.

Mitch]If Chica is agreeing with me I change my argument.

Not sure how you could.

I mean, his argument was brilliant.

"If you give Delmon Young a lot of RBI opportunities he'll get a lot of RBIs."

Who cares that he doesn't give Cabrera a lot of RBI opportunities?

That's a dumb argument? He's an RBI machine. So yes...his OBP would be wortless if he didn't have any talent surrounding him. Same for most baseball players. You ever notice what Berkman is doing now that he's with Pujols? Granderson?

Every since I gave Jackson some props and said he was off chain he's gone a big 0'Fer 7 or something stupid.

In that case I take it back Jackson!
lol

OK now, Fister - Valverde....whoever comes out, 3 outs.

Let's not let this one get away from us or waste an absolute Gem.

Yes, yes it is.

If you give any player a lot of RBI opportunities, they will get RBIs.

Young isn't special in that regard.

And what is Berkman doing with Pujols? Nothing he didn't do in Houston.

Mitch]Come Valverde. A nice simple 1 2 3, please.

You mean you don't want him to walk the first one or two just to make it interesting?

Really only an RBI machine one year, 2 if you count 2007.

And in 2009 he hit for a lot more power.

Minny didn't waive him on a whim, he's been a good pickup, but he's no superstar, or RBI machine.
