Tigers vs. indians Game Thread September 5

13 strikeouts for fister!!! holy smokes, didn't see that coming! at 101 pitches, i think that might be it for Fister.

If Fister gets out of this inning I wouldn't mind him starting the 9th but have JValve ready.

Gotta give him the chance to K Chisenhall, just gotta!

At this point is there any doubt who got the best pitcher, Tigers or Tribe, not even taking into account what was given up.

No reason not to bring in the closer at this point, at all...

You can look at his game stats but unless youve watched you don't know how well he's pitched. Dominate. Complete dominate.

That home run just made him pitch better. Gotta love it.

I would have rather he not have given up the run, and gotten through the inning unscathed without having pitched quite so well, nevertheless...

I say if we don't get a couple more here let Fister try to get the CG Valverde hasn't been lights out lately.

Sub .300 OBP.

Can't play defense.

Guy isn't a good baseball player.

LOL...
you are in denial.

A career .322 OBP isn't SUB....anything He's getting on base 1 out of every 3 at bats and that's good for a 3 hitter

Guy is proving over an over again that if he has talent around him and healthy....he will produce some big time numbers.

The entire Twins team have been on the DL this year (literally), including himself, so if you are just looking at this year's stats, you're an idiot. The other season, 2009, where he was sitting at .309 OBP, he almost was injured that year as well.

SO the guy doesn't walk...BIG DEAL...As long as he's getting 1 RBI a game, he's a perfect guy batting in front of Miggy.

HE'S 25 years old.

Brilliant argument.

Texas losing, it would be really nice to catch them and get home field in the first round.

Well obviously, I would rather he didn't give up any runs but that's not realistic to expect. Just saying it's nice to see him come back from that and k the next two guys.

Mitch[/color]]If Chica is agreeing with me I change my argument.

Not sure how you could.

I mean, his argument was brilliant.

"If you give Delmon Young a lot of RBI opportunities he'll get a lot of RBIs."

Who cares that he doesn't give Cabrera a lot of RBI opportunities?
