Tigers vs. mets Spring Training March 14

I was right, Bruce Rondon pitching in the 8th,

Bruce Rondon is not in big league camp, but he's pitching the 8th for Tigers with 6-5 lead. Reportedly has looked good this spring.
Big kid with big fastball,

first pitch is 98, another at 97, both letter high, just inside, that one at 97 gets the inside corner, big swing and miss at 97, another 97 belt high is fouled back, way high over a jumping Avila's glove to the back stop, walk,

fastball chest high, another fastball high, now Avila goes out to calm him down, and Jeff Jones out to talk with the kid, strike call at above the knees, chest high, woof up and in a walk, ok, he throws hard, but has to learn how to control it,

shows bunt and fastball in on the hands backs off strike call, just missed,
fouled back, grounder to second throw to second for the force late throw to first, runneers first and third 1 out,

Curve in the dirt blocked by Holaday, split finger gets by the catcher and runner scores, tie game, runner to second, low, lots of movement on that fastball comes up and in, kid is a work in progress,

Rondon is taken out,

Villarreal pitching,

strikes the batter out,

gets another k as the mets batter chases low,

Kinda rather thin on posts in this game-thread from other members this afternoon, probably it is b/c of it being a "workday" ballgame, and during ST, and then will pickup once the regular season begins, with most Tigers' ballgames being instead played in the evenings on weekdays. "April in tha D", wonder what, if any new accompanied jingle will be used by FSN?

Yeah Doug, most are younger and work, plus ST game, still some will check the game thread for each inning,
No april in the D this year.

Tigers 8th inning,

Patterson 2 and 2, fouled back, check swing fouled, changeup away, high for a walk,

Holaday waits throw to first, bunt down first works sacrifice runner to second,

Laird takes a curve for a strike, mets try a pickoff to second Patterson safe, curve low and in, swings and misses, another pickoff throw to second safe, fastball off the corner, takes high for a full count, curve is fouled back, another pickoff try, Lard = mr. pop up,

Matt Young takes a curve low, takes high, curve strike call, strike call inside corner, fastball fouled back, again, way inside, curve fly to center,

tie game.

Schlereth pitching 9th inning,

grounder to second,

full count walk,

1 and 1, runner steals second on Schlereth, ground foul, swings and misses a slurve,

grounder to Inge,

tie game.

Schlereth with a rather uneventful 9th, hopefully the Tigers can win this in the bottom of the inning and avoid perhaps yet another tie out of their last half-dozen games.

Leadoff hitter Berry beats a bunt out.

Tigers 9th inning,

Berry drops a bunt down third and he bits the throw by a split second,

Santiago shows bunt takes outside, drops it down and throw is to first on the sacrifice Berry to second,

Inge watches an 81 changeup, just out in front of a curve fouled down left, fastball outside, takes high, changeup outside, fly to left,

Ciriaco swings and misses a low changeup, lined off the thirdbaseman's arm and Berry gets to third, single or E5,

Head takes inside, runner to second on indifference, takes low, swings and misses a change or slow slider, off the corner 3 and 1, high for a walk bases are loaded,

espn's karl ravech is more concerned about the next show on espn than this game, he sucks as a baseball game announcer,

Patterson 0 and 2, outside, takes high, slider away full count....swings and misses, crap,

10th inning.

Schlereth pitching the 10th inning,

Argenis Diaz at second groundball throws out the runner,

fly to left,

1 and 2, curve strike three,

Schlereth looked good.

Tigers 10th inning,

Holaday fouls it back, fastball high, grounder to second,

Dirks pinch hitting for Lard, fouls it back, fouled down left, again, another sliced down left foul, change outside, takes low, fastball outside full count, inside for a walk,

Young takes outside, fouled back, swings and misses, fastball fouled back, fouled back, takes high, takes low and Dirks steals second, takes outside for a walk, first and second,

Berry takes a high fastball, can't hold up the check swing on a low slider, takes a low change, kind of high off the corner strike call, slapped foul, fouled back, drilled to right and it's off the wall Dirks scores the winning run,

Tigers win 7 - 6.

Got BSODed by my Windoze OS during the bottom 9th, lol..its been quite a while since that last happened. Posting while using an ancient desktop PC in another room while watching the game @ an angle on my also very ancient "big-screen" 250lb, 36" Sony VAIO tube TV sucks anyway. Gonna need to buy a used laptop to use while posting during the Tigers' upcoming regular-season games, hopefully sometime this spring.

XP, Vista or 7?

When is the last time you updated your drivers?

XP, Vista or 7?

When is the last time you updated your drivers?

The XP Home/Pro drivers for both installs are all current, I have an automated software program that I used recently to check both hardware drivers and software programs that I have installed. I also have recently downloaded (but not installed yet) a free software program that interprets the alphanumeric computer codes for BSOD screens, but obviously could not use it. Doesn't matter anyway, since I plan to use my Linux/Unix distros, now that I finally have my "own" broadband Comcast IP cable/WiFi internet connection back (since last Friday), just haven't got around to updating/installing them on my partitioned internal PATA HDDs yet.

Oh yeah, the combo modem/router/phone box that the Comcast tech set up last weekend just happened to be a "brick", (he left b/c I had to uhh...change too many settings and my (somewhat illegal) hacked/cracked WPA/WEP encrypted wireless connections before he could connect their box wirelessly to my PC, so I told him that I would finish it up) and so I had to purchase my own combo-box over last weekend. They charge monthly rental fees for using their equipment anyway, so I obviously do not want a replacement, nor did I want or need the bundled phone connection either.

I am really taxing the limited capabilities of my PC's old Pentium 4 CPU, which isn't even capable of multi-threading, I really need a more powerful PC, but alas, I am on a fixed income, and am disabled, my lovely wife decided to "retire" early herself, so we both must live off of it. But @ age 62, my income will more than double...that is..IF I manage to live to that "ripe" old age, less than a decade from now.
