you have to be able to hit, to be effective thou... he's never hit anywhere he's been. bad decision on DD part. imo
Just don't get what everyone's problem with him is. He's right about at his career averages. Hell, he's got 26 HR's in the year that he's been with Detroit. 5 in the postseason last fall. How many other guys on this team can say that? Not sure what people were expecting from him, but this is pretty much what he's always been. He doesn't go on a Boesch/Inge like slump or a Miggy terror. He's consistently mediocre.yep you're right................small sample let's dump on Jhonny. Delmon had most of the year.

That's my point though. He's ALWAYS been like that. Putting on the Olde English D isn't gonna cure that. Shit, half the lineup has horrible plate discipline.its the plate discipline and bouts of swinging at balls way off the plate and or in the dirt that drives everyone nuts. When he's not doing that it's all good.
