DY's numbers since coming to Detroit... 6 homers and 25 Rbi's but it is all or nothing with this cat and he is slow and cannot play defense either.. His OBP is terrible... He has got to cut down his swing and at all cost get Miguel up to the plate..... fucking lean in and take a ball off your arm..... i don't care......get on base...

Twinks may be about to drop (oops they just did) both games of a DH to the Tribe, only two more losses for 100, what a precipitous fall from first in the CD and only three games (94-68) from having the best record in the AL (96-66 Rays) to being the worst team in the AL in just one season..wow!!!

With 4 games still remaining, it is unlikely that the Twinks will somehow avoid the infamous 100 loss mark...lol.

tigers are 4-5 verses really bad teams since the 12 game winning streak... And i am not the only one mad on the board tonight after yet another debacle...

That is two 6-5 games we lost to the O's this series... I can see maybe one but not both. Pauley and DS are not big game pitchers.. This was Jim's worst game of the last nine but resting his players before he clinched home field is just as stupid...


Yankees go for the throat of teams but not the Tigers...

Due to the VERY small amount of teams that play in the MLB's postseason, when compared to the other major sports, ANY team that the Tigers will face in the ALDS is going to be a very good, if not great team. If the Tigers lose HFA, they may play the Yanks on the road first, just as they did when clinching the WC in '06, instead of the Red Sox or maybe TB. Perhaps that may be for the best, rather than facing them in a seven game ALCS instead. Win the series and get them out of the way, and maybe have HFA vs the Red Sox , Angels, or Rays in the ALCS...who knows how the postseason chips will fall as yet.

I'd rather have home field.... 2006 was 5 years ago it means nothing in 2011.... The flip side of that argument is in a five game series we may only get to use Verlander once if we lose games one and two on the road... I hope the road will be great like 2006 for the Tigers but home field is important because we may get to the ALCS and still be the road team if Texas wins..... Beat them lock up home field...

apparently leyland thinks HFA means absolutely nothing. what a retard. i was disappointed we couldnt get JV his 25th...he didnt pitch great for 3 innings though either. i watched that 2nd inning, he couldnt put anyone away with 2 strikes and 2 outs...ugh.



also, im sick of DY hitting 3rd...he's a 6th hole hitter at best, throw avila at 3 for chrissakes. DY better not be on the team next year, we need someone who can field and doesnt have an empty BA.
