If that's true, that's just not an acceptable reason to toss Miggy in the middle of an at bat. Miggy wasn't being demonstrative with any motions so the crowd can't see that he is showing you up. Many players look back at the ump and say something or they give the ump and extra long look. That happens in every single game ever played.

You have to at least wait until the at bat is over. If he makes an out he's going to say something and then you can toss him. If he gets a hit then the issue is all over and you both move on. To do it after 2 pitches shows what an egotistical nutsack Fairchild actually is.

If he responds, he'll get fined and/or suspended because MLB has no fucking balls when it comes to disciplining awful umpires but flips a shit any time a player or manager says something remotely unkind about them, regardless of whether its true or not. I bet Jim would have loved to say "Chad Fairchild is a blind douchebag", but the resulting suspension and fine just wouldnt be worth it for him.


Im all for hitting him next time he's the HP ump for us.
