Tigers vs. rangers ALCS Game 4 Thread Oct. 12

Word on the internet and mlb network is the game might be delayed an hour or two with the rain. Anyone in metro Detroit with an update?

Don't know how many here caught it, but McCarver made a pretty good point last night (I know...that's unusual) when he noted that it may be that players today do too much weight training and not enough stretching, ergo, they have many more oblique injuries than in days past. Hey, there's gotta be a reason. Bumps and bruises and tears are one thing, but I hope folks note that we have at least two guys with very bad oblique injuries and one out with a bum thumb and another with a broken ankle and another with a bad calf.

leftys are hitting better than righties against Harrison, so where's Kelly?

Because Kelly is batting under the Mendoza line against LHP. He's lost against them.

I really hope the start of this game won't be delayed. I can only watch about the 1st hour than have a couple of commitments I can't get out of. If it is delayed hopefully it will be about an hour in.

Huge game today, I think whoever wins this will ultimately win the series.

I'm stuck at work again, but I bribed the IT guy with the promise of tequila and I've got access to ESPN now. Yippee.

If AJax has a good game today I think the Tigers win. I think Miggy finally is out of his slump and I expect him to do well. The contribution from an unlikely source will be Cringe. both starting pitchers will struggle. Tigers win 8-6.

it's gonna be a long game, a lot of hitting and a lot of pitching changes.

PF, I did hear mccarver say that, makes sense. Some of these guys need to back off the weights and do more stretching excercises. maybe even yoga.
as for the bumps, bruises and tears, if they make it to the World Series those physical ailments will be affecting them for another 2 weeks or so.
It won't surprise me that once the season is over a couple of them have 'minor' surgeries, scopes of knees, candidates Martinez and Avila imo.

Looks like a rain delay, infield and bullpens are covered up.
MLB Network says an expected 5:15 starting time.

Delmon Young said he felt significantly better today and was OK throwing. He said last night that throwing more of an issue than hitting.

That blows, now I don't even get to see the start of the game. Maybe I can catch the very end. The rain has really played havoc with the Tigers this postseason.

I like it, I can get home in time for the end now. I'd like to see it moved back till 6 if possible.
