Tigers vs. rangers ALCS Game 4 Thread Oct. 12

As a staff they really had a horrible game last night... The more I stew on it the madder I get.

Reyes will be a waste of money that in the end would cost the Tigers some better bullpen help... He has averaged 97 games a season the last three years.. It would be a complete wast to gamble on his bad wheels...

I wouldn't put nothing beyond Mr. Ilitch this off-season if we are knocked out of the playoffs. He has already stated how bad he wants that WS championship. Hell look at his comment the other day after beating New York in game 5 he said that was the greatest day of his life lol.

He has already stated that he has placed things up well to add 2 "pretty big moves" to the Tigers this off-season and can you imagine how that could expand to even more if the Tigers get knocked out primarily because of lack of offense?

The only bad thing as I mentioned in a post the other day is the amount of available players at least in free agency that could add a impact to our roster this off-season is very few. So the only reason we will be able to make a significant improvement to this roster would more then likely be through a trade as he did in 2007 after the failed playoff run.

Now unfortunately looking over one of the biggest bats on the market this off-season (Aramis Ramirez) talking about his upcoming Free agency scares me a little.

"I'll head to free agency if they don't give me a contract of several years," Ramirez said. "I'm going to wait and see what the team does. Otherwise, I'm going to leave Chicago."

This guy is currently 33 and hearing the terms "Several Years" scares the hell out of me considering the amount of money he will probably have thrown at him this off-season not only from the Cubs but as well the Marlins.

I think the best possible signing for the Tigers this off-season would be prying Jimmy Rollins away from Philly BUT the bad thing about that is that it would probably have to be a 5 year deal probably in the range of 70-75 Million. (14-15 per year) to get him away from Philly who would prefer to sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal max.

This would give us the ability to move Peralta either to 2nd or 3rd and would finally give us the ability to move Austin Jackson to 9th in the lineup where he should be and give us a legit lead-off hitter who would not cost us 130 to 140 million (Reyes).

Also this would still leave us the money necessary to make additional moves to help the team whether that be upgrading the BP, 2B, 3B (whichever we didn't move Peralta to) and another OF as well.

I don't think the Tigers need that much bullpen help.. You have Coke, Valverde and Benoit as your top 3 followed by Al Al and Schlereth... Tigers need a lefty starter, and IF help with possibly a corner OFer..
