Tigers vs. rangers Game Thread August 11

Holland is a fn gas can too. He's Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde all in one.

I even sat the putz in my fantasy baseball league tonight as well...lol. I don't get this team sometimes. They should have bashed this guy.

It's only wrong when Delmon does it

It's actually only wrong when you're someone like Delmon [or like Vlad used to be]...who is known for almost always doing it.

Then the pitcher can throw you junk on the first pitch because he knows you'll chase it.

Though, Delmon has been much better lately.

Jesus, I hope you weren't struck by lightning after typing that last line...

Nope.

I have no problem admitting that on the Suck Scale, Delmon may have dropped from a 98 to a 95.

That will probably really boost his asking price in Free Agency in the off-season. :lmao:

I didn't think there were any Delmon Young apologists out there, apparently I was wrong.

Chico, of course, was.

He's now over on Motownsports defending Delmon.

He made the brilliant argument that batting behind Cabrera and Fielder, two high OBP hitters, actually hurts his RBI chances lol.

No and the interview was short he was eating his dinner and trying to talk at the same time, some of it was garbled

Typical...talking to the media while feeding his face. Such class. I excuse my 7-year-old from the table when she talks with her mouth full.

I admit there was a time when Leyland's grouchy old man antics were humorous and entertaining, but they've gotten as old as he is.

I give him all the credit in the world for coming in in 2006 and changing the attitude of a perennially failing ballclub and motivating them to a World Series appearance. But he has regressed TERRIBLY every year since then...in all aspects of the game. Lineups, substitutions, in-game strategy...you name it he has botched every one on numerous occasions.
