Another reason why the save is a retarded stat. People are freaking out over bringing a guy in with a 4 run lead, and would cry bloody murder if he didn't come in with a 3 run lead.

Is that the least bit logical?

It is if it effects how the pitcher performs, which it clearly does.

Why not use hie for crying out load.. Jose will not be able to go on Tuesday now. Bring in a mop up guy and if he gets in trouble pull him for Jose.. it makes no sense after his recent struggles..
