Tigers vs. rays Game Thread August 22

Leyland (a former MiLB catcher) has said numerous times that Avila gets hit more than any other catcher he knows.
edit this was from previous inning from the foul off of Avila not the throw to second.

Well, hopefully that will make the Rays think twice about running on JV/Avila the rest of the game.

poor rays announcers lol....sucks you have to spend 5 minutes talking about IF there were 2 wildcard spots then theyd be looking good lol.

Jim Price says that too.

Verlander 4th inning,

longoria curve strike call, fastball outside, again, changeup inside fouled back, curve popped to shallow center he tells Santiago to get the hell out of the way and has it,

zobrist fastball fouled back, again changeup inside, curve fouled, low, changeup low full count, another changeup at 89 low for a walk,

kotchman strike call, curve low, throw to first, swings and misses a high fastball and runner trying to steal second and Avila's throw is there in plenty of time for a ham sandwich, high fastball fouled back, fastball inside, curve across the plate and FF ump rapuano says no full count, fastball fouled back, lined to Young,

Verlander with 65 pitches,

Tigers lead 2 - 1.

Took about 25 minutes of trial and error but I found a proxy that works!! You're awesome!!

Just passing along info I got from others.

I would do it myself, but my 'Net is not quite enough to stream a game.
