I was watching the game with my girlfriend when Ortega came in, I freaked out and she asked why. I replied, this is a terrible spot to make your major league debut in, too much pressure, you are setting a guy up to fail. Leyland did not give his club the best chance to win tonight, period.

I've been angry for years about Leyland. I'm not sure how he gets away with this one. This loss was solely on Leyland and Leyland alone.

Two of the most moronic managerial decisons i've see in years. Bringing in Ortega in THAT situation?? WTF?? And NOT knowing the squeeze was coming and you DON'T pitchout. It's unfuckingbelievable.

i think Dombrowski is just not a good GM anymore. he still does decent trades, but his overall organization building has been just fucking terrible the last few years. bad contracts, awful drafts, no depth in the system whatsoever, and the current build of the team has way too many holes especially for how big our payroll is. thing is, because of all these huge contracts, DD or whoever replaces him if he leaves is going to have a nigh-impossible time trying to fix the system.
