Tigers vs. redsox Game Thread April 5

wooh, that Ross hit looked bad coming off the bat. thought it was out.

I like Francona, but all he has been doing since he got to espn is talk about his old job. It's always brought up when he's doing a game or an interview with someone.

Verlander pitching 5th inning,

uglymofoyuckilis fastball low, fastball outside, strike on the corner and nesn announcers whining, fly down right is foul, shallow fly to left center and Jackson has it,

sweeney changeup breaks outside, strike call, curve just off the corner, fly to center drops in for a single,

ross waits throw to first, fly to right and Boesch has it in front of the track,

saltalafongoola slider fouled back, fastball at the knees ump says low, fastball in gameday says strike, fastball strike at the knees, throw to first, grounder to Santiago and he throws to Fielder covering,

Verlander with 67 pitches.

Need the offense to step up, Verlanders looking like he'll give us 7-8 strong innings.

IDK.

If all time I'd guess Williams for the Red Sox and Cobb for the Tigers.

I'd go with williams too, but whitaker for the tigers.

edit: Pesky maybe as well....or Yastrzemski

Its gotta be Cobb for the tigers he wore the Old English D for 22 seasons. Yaz would be a good guess for the Sox with more than 3300 games played.

I feel like this is how it usually goes first game of the season. Good pitching and inconsistent hitting but I could be wrong.
