Tigers vs. redsox Game Thread May 29

You have to admit though that Rugburn is better at turning the DP...

Dammit...

Tigers are not turning many double plays with 2nd and ss. nothing crisp in the throws and relays, this goddamn defense is driving me nuts.

Looked to me that Ramon gave him a good feed, Peralta looked to have a problem getting the ball out of his glove.

...and now pulls Prince off the bag at first.

Raburn's likely better if the ball is hit to the left side because he has a stronger arm than Peralta or Santiago.

No team in MLB has turned fewer double plays this season than the Tigers' 30.

Poorly constructed team with average to mediocre to bad fielders, defense be damned, just swing and mash, which they are having problems doing,
some of this does fall on Dombrowski.

Tigers failure to turn the double play made JV throw 4 more pitches, the error 3 more, makes it a 21-pitch inning could have been 14.

The whole thing looked fine to me. The ball got to 2nd base quickly, the feed was good and the throw wasn't bad...maybe could have been a tad harder but I thought they were going to get him easily. I didn't see a mistake.

KC is up on Cleveland 7-2. Cleveland is getting ready to bat in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Runners on the move kept them out of the DP. Miggy will probably walk?
