Tigers vs. royals Game Thread August 28

Get Verlander the hell out of the game. If Leyland brings him back in the 3rd inning, he should be canned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I turn the game on to see this shit in progress? Wonderful

Justin Verlander outs breakdown: Strikeouts (50%), Fielder's choice (17%), Jeff Francoeur (33%)

that's gonna happen when you throw em right down the middle.

Most of those pitches weren't down the middle; several were on the edge or just out of the strike zone. The fielding has been rotten, and the Royals have had some luck with drops in the outfield. These kind of things happen when you have an infield with close to zero range.

Say what you want about bad luck, JV had some, but he threw a lot of pitches down the middle. He did not get it done.

To save him for chicago on Sunday. As many pitches/innings as he's thrown this year he needs a rest.

It's still early, and the Tigers have a chance to win this game. You dont pull your ace after two innings.

Haha Cabrera says "Fuck you, Gene" as he rounded 3rd.

Miggy runs through Lamont's stop sign and scores easily. 7-5 on the Prince double.

And this is why you keep JV in, because Mendoza is trash and now it's a 2 run game with 7 innings to play and a pitcher who could shut them out for the remainder.

Love that Cabrera ran right through the sign and scored easily. Back in it.

Too bad he didn't run him over on the way

I'm glad he didn't.

He's have got both feet stuck in Lamont's Pilsbury Doughboy belly and would have needed to be cut out with the jaws of life.

No point risking the injury.
