Well I had them going 0-3 in this series and still winning 90. So 1-2 means 91 right. That not the problem its how the manage to get to this 1-2 start. Leyland can not manage a BP by C ;bullpen. So Valverde gets a call!?&@too.

Just heard the weather report for Opening Day @ CoPa tomorrow, it is going to be "cooler" but sunny with a high of just 49 degrees. Wind will be coming from the north @ ~13mph.

ie...we're likely to see much of the same ineptness coming from the dugout and perhaps a still mainly flatlined offense. Who knows how the SP and BP will fare..but as we have seen, keeping it close may be meaningless. The Yankees are DL decimated and elderly w/holes patched throughout the lineup, but their halfway-decent pitching might and very well could stifle the Tigers batters enough for theirs to scratch up a few runs late to win.

Another problem for Leyland may be Villarreal. He failed in his first test of pitching in back-to-back games. Leyland requires his bullpen to work two days in a row sometimes.

This weather thing is a joke! After all when is the WS played? Like Octtoburrr ! This team can not play in cold weather!&? then it is put together WRONG!WRONG!WRONG! Should the weather be the problem then the mindset of the Tigers is the problem, as they play in a cold weather city!!!!

Dombrowski has "final / last say" on both the 40 and 25-man rosters. It's been his call since the 2009 season began. From the rumor mill back then, in 2007 and 2008 Leyland went thru a period where he hand-picked multiple acquisition failures in a short time span ...ie... Jose Mesa, Jacque Jones, Neifi Perez....etc....etc. Just gossip / rumors heard around Brush and Montcalm Streets back then.
