Tigers vs. twins Game Thread Sept. 22

Nice job Doug.

Way to back him with the bats boys!

And Scherzer going tomorrow at 1, guess I'm a doctor after all!

Tigers win 8 - 0,
Fister with a Complete Game Shutout,
Cabrera, Delmon, Jackson homer,
Tigers Victory Cigar!!!!

ZonieTiger, that yankee game on instead of the Tigers on fox??

a's had 4 runs on 3 homers in the 13th, and the yankees just tied them ibanez with his 2nd homer of the game, tha acorn with a 2 run homer to tie it up.

It looks like the Yankees had a much easier time with Neshek than we did last week.

Keith Law on Cabrera: Actually, he'd be 3rd or 4th on my ballot. Just not first, and I'd slide him behind Verlander.

Law just hates Miggy simple as that. To say that Verlander is more valuable this year to the Tigers than Miggy is laughable.

oh just tell Law to get bent and call it good.

Law looks like a clown. Miggy has been great all season (and his entrie career). He's player of the month in August. He'll be player of the month in September. He's the triple crown leader with 12 games to go and he plays on a team who needs every win possible down the stretch to make the playoffs. And that's good enough for 3rd or 4th on your ballot? It looks ridiculous no matter how you try and slice it.

Great game from the Tigers today. Complete game shutout and the offense shows up right out of the gate. One of the few stress free victories we've had this year. We were never in any trouble today.

LOL, I can't believe he's trying to back track now and moved him into his top 5 now what a doofis

@keithlaw
KalineCountry: Miguel Cabrera is 1st in all Triple Crown stats. Since 1950, Triple Crown winner was named MVP: Mantle, Robinson, & Yaz. FU klaw.

Arod singled in the game winning run except the rookie missed 3rd base and had to turn back. Wow. Game still tied right now.

LOL, only 8 different players have ever won the Triple crown... in HISTORY!!

EIGHT!!

If Miggy wins this I think there may end up being a special place in the halls of baseball dumbasses reserved for this Klaw doofus.

Keith Law is reminding me of Cris Carter's remarks about Megatron last year.

That and of Skip Bayless. He just says things to put his name out there and be controversial. Paid to troll.

The Tigers have never had a player finish with 42 HRs, 100 RBI, and a .320 AVG. Miguel Cabrera hit #42 today, has 131 RBI, and a .332 AVG.

Cabrera last 10G: .414 (17-41) with 7HR and 15RBI...last 20G - .378, 10HR and 24RBI.
Miggy4MVP.

When Tigers played Angels here in August, Cabrera trailed by 19 points in batting race...earlier this year, trailed Hamilton by 15 in RBI race, and just six days ago, Cabrera trailed Hamilton by five in battle for HR lead...this finishing push by Cabrera is something special...
