Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread July 20

Cabrera stays in at 3B,

Valverde.....faces youkilis, dunn, and konerko,

this bastard youkilis is the most miserable chronically grimacing complainer in a long time, watched his act in boston for about 8 years, fly out,

dung shows bunt? haha, full count, another fastball fouled, where's the splitter, there's the splitter and a pop up to Cabrera,

konerko line drive to Berry and he dives and catches it,

Tigers win 4 - 2,
Verlander wins his 11th,
Valverde with a 1/2/3 inning for his 18th save,
Tigers Victory Cigar,
Tigers now just one/half game out of first place.

Take that pale hosers!

Hope Rick's got it all in one sock tomorrow.

big win .5 back good thing we took this first one cuz have you guys seen the pitching match ups for Sat and Sun, HOLY JUMPIN JACK JIMMY SMOKES!

Great pitching by JV,

great defensive plays Boesch, Berry,

Valverde with a quick 9th inning,

Tigers win their 50th game

Justin Verlander: 62nd straight start with at least 6 IP tonight (passes Catfish Hunter for 3rd longest streak in live ball era).

Tigers high watermark of the season, 6 games over .500.

Maybe the Tigers are the new Twins?

Mediocre in the 1st half, then get hot and just murder everyone in the second?

At least we have proven we can beat the Yankees in the 1st round. :lmao:

The look on Beckham's face as hye held the nub of the bat that Verlander just sawed off with a 100 mph fast ball on a check swing was simply priceless. Wow! JV looked a little shaky from the start, but he settled down and basically pitched a masterpiece except for the one mistake.

This team is on a roll and even thought the matchups at pitching don't favor us the next 2 games, I wouldn't bet against us right now,

Webvideo Verlander shatters bat.
Justin Verlander hurls 100-mph heat to shatter Gordon Beckham's bat, leaving only the handle.
