Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread July 20

JV retires 9 in a row, 8 innings, 121 pitches, 2 runs, 4 hits, 2 walks, 6 strikeouts,

Tigers lead 4 - 2.

oh crap what's up with Cabrera's ankle, stays in but the look on his face says something is up,

Cabrera leads off the 8th with a double down the rightfield line, another multi hit game and his 27th double,

Fielder lines a single to left Cabrera to third,

Young grounds to third and Cabrera is out at home and he gets up limping,

Ah, glad to get home and see us up 4-2, but can't watch the game :/ Hopefully Miggy is ok! What happened?

didn't see anything but thinking he might have turned/rolled it on the run to third, he should have slid into pierzynski's knee with his foot up,

Kelly out and Mudhen pinch hitting with the new lefty pitcher,

geez this poor bastard, and Leyland was saying he has to at least lefthanders,

I don't see why you pull a starter before the 9th inning when you have less then a 4 run lead.

How many times had Boesch been pulled only to have Kelly come up to bat in the 8th...

I get the outfield defense at times but in a close game? Does Kelly actually ever make a play that helps us win?

Yeah one in Seattle I remember but all in all IMO smokes should stop bringing him in for that until we are sure BB is highly unlikely to get another AB yet, especially since he's finally hitting better now.
