Tigers vs. yankees ALCS Game Thread 3 Oct. 16

Dy first pitch swings at crap all year but takes 2 fastballs down the middle.

Nvm...yankee killer!

You just had to know that was going to happen after leaving em loaded last inning right? LOL..

Delmon adds to his Tigers record for post season homeruns with 7

Tigers hitting 4th inning,

Young fastball strike call, fastball outside? close, fastball fouled back, fastball line drive to left and it's gone homerun,

Tigers lead 1 - 0,

Delmon now with 7 career post season homeruns for Tigers,

Dirks takes high, fastball inside, again, fastball outside walk, might have been squeezed but that's good,

Peralta first curve strike call, fastball fouled back, time called is hughes hurt? and hughes is done and leaves with 61 pitches, eppley coming in and gets all the time he needs to warm up, now phelps is warming up, Peralta with an 0 and 2 count, ball, again, low full count, ground foul, runner going and fly to center Dirks back to first,

Avila takes a ?? strike low, line drive to right and it drops in front of ichiro single Dirks to second,

Infante fastball outside, fly to right no advance,

Jackson fastball outside pulled in by ff strike call, fastball swings and misses, in the dirt, fastball outside, grounder to short force at second,

2 runners lob,

long in between inning for JV,

Tigers lead 1 - 0.

I think this is a move designed to ice us down when were starting to get hot at the plate.

Kinda like calling a TO before a FG.
