Tigers vs. yankees ALCS Game Thread Oct. 14

Delmon Young is now third in franchise history w/12 postseason RBI -- trails Gibson (13) and Greenberg (22).

Cabrera has now reached safely in 18 straight postseason games, matching Greenberg for the franchise record.

As I posted in the rotation thread:

Its amazing when your say your weakest pitcher yet over the last 7 starts Sanchez has a 2.48 ERA - 0.97 WHIP - 40/7 K-BB Ratio lmao. The lack of offense is the only reason he is actually 2-3 over those last 7 starts is the Tigers have actually scored a grand total of 17 runs in those 7 starts.

The man has been dealing the last 8 starts now.

I'll take any win but it would be absolutely beautiful to beat the Yanks 1-0 in their park when their pitcher was terrific today.

That seemed high...Avila called out looking. Omar singles up the middle on the 1st pitch.

Nice AJ. Omar makes it back into 2nd base safely after thinking about going to 3rd. He was out by 6 miles. Make them pay for it.

Kuroda is only pitcher besides Bob Gibson (1968) ever to fan at least 11 Tigers in a post-season game.

slowmo shows he was clearly out, man we are getting a lot of breaks in the post season so far from errors and missed calls etc.. almost feels like... oh never mind, another time perhaps..

From MLB scout who watched Sanchez in Aug/Sept: "Anibal is a different guy pitching with a purpose in Detroit."

Updated numbers for Sanchez over his last 8 starts now:

2.16 ERA - 0.96 WHIP - 47-10 K/BB Ratio

out by a mile....wtf was omar doing? lol...dives and doesnt stick his arms out. God gave you arms moron....extend them and reach for the bag maybe?!

The real question is...how is Infante possibly NOT going from first to third on a base hit to right with two outs?
