Tigers vs. yankees Game Thread August 6

Infante was shifted over towards 1st for the lefty. That ball was hit almost directly at him. Prince should have known where Omar was. No need to make a tough play out of a routine play. This isn't little league.

It was a routine play gone bad. Just a different version of one. You're right: This isn't LL baseball. It's big-boy baseball and Verlander made a LL error.

Before ya know it the Twins are going to be in 3rd place. Cleveland has rolled over now.

Good throw might have got him, now we have a big chance here with some power coming up. Oops, throw was fine, Martin suckola.

Nice job guys, Nova has been throwing some fat [pitches, way to make him pay!

Tigers pitchers lead majors with 16 errors. SD and Col tied for 2nd with 14.

Good throw woulda had him by a mile
(insert gotime909's sig here)

Hey were up 5-2 now let's pour it on Miggy!

It was a terrible throw.

And Martin tried to field it as well as my grandma. Just bend over at the waist and stick your glove out on a 3 hopper. He was lazy on that one. He played it like he was afraid of a collision.

Cabrera's homerun was 454 feet.
Cabrera's 454-foot home run is the longest in MLB on an 0-2 pitch this season.

Young trys, first pitch grounder to short beats the throw by a half step,

Avila swings and delmon trys to steal second slides in about 3 feet short of second and thrown out, what a useless crumb, now a single to left,

Peralta lines it past third for a single first and third, nice going delmon,

Infante line drive single to left and Avila scores, first and second,

Tigers lead 3 - 2,

Jackson line drive to center Peralta running towards home with the bureau on his back throw gets away from the catcher and safe,

Tigers lead 4 - 2,

Dirks lines to right and Infante scores on the sac fly,

Tigers lead 5 - 2,

Cabrera fouls the curve back, fastball swings and misses, slider in the dirt, up and in foul tipped,

and with all that f'n nova has 59 pitches,

Tigers lead 5 - 2.

I hope Rapada does not come in, we seem to always get shut down by our former bullpen pitchers when we play them. Durbin, Grilli, Ledezma, etc.

Lucky on the 4th run. Gene-o almost cost us again. Good thing Martin is an idiot...
