Tigers vs. yankees Game Thread June 1

That's good. I know that the Mets are watching him carefully. Besides Jared Weaver, who can one root against to pitch a no-hitter going into the 9th?
I'd like to see someone break up a no no with a ball off Weaver's face.

Seaver took one into the 9th,

and iirc Gooden had one with the yankees.

They said the last Mets pitcher to take a no hitter into the 9th was Tom Seaver.

Yeah, that suprises me. They've had some great pitchers. For some reason I thought Gooden threw one for them. Guess not.

Seaver did it as a Red. You'd think that Ryan, Koosman and Matlack were capable. Definitely Gooden, too. Leiter did it as a Marlin.

I'm surprised more pitchers don't seem to realize Delmon loves the first pitch. Anyway.. we have 2 on with 1 out, any reason to believe this won't end how it normally does?

Confirmed that Matt Young is being called up to Tigers. MudHens did NOT announce back end of transaction.
