Vs Indiana

Holy shit talk about surviving a game that shouldn't have been close

I feel like I?d rather have that than any chance of a kick return

After that 15 yard penalty I would've rather they rolled it to the up backs. Just had a bad feeling with how badly these dbs played. Didn't wanna see them on the field again lol

We need bigger corners. Our 5'8" midgets just can't cover big wrs. Maybe give a look at Mosely or Hayes.

Also, whatever happened to Cam Chambers?

The next 3 are especially tough. Be happy winning 1 of those 3. Last 4 are all winnable. I think 8 wins is still the ceiling for this team.

I?ll only be happy if they go 2-1 or better. I know we?re not great but I still can?t be happy with a 1-2 slate unless we revert back to the dark ages, which based on the past couple years maybe I should be happy with 1-2

You still gonna be a fan when your boy Heyward transfers?

who says heyward is my boy? i said i wanted the staff to find a guy and stick with him and at the beginning of the season before anyone including you had seen anything, he was the most likely guy. he definitely should have been the guy last year but they kept going w/ Scott who clearly sucked. i havent once said anything about heyward not getting enough touches this year. last week or the week b4 when Collins sat most or all of the 2nd qtr, i said the musical chairs at TB has to stop and Collins was clearly the guy.

you gonna keep floundering on Lewerke saying he is a shit qb then back pedal and say you never said that then next week bitch about him again when he puts up 300 yds passing with 3 TDs while rushing for 78 yds on 6.5 yds per carry all with a garbage offensive line bc every ball isnt thrown perfectly to your liking?

OSU is going to curbstomp us next Saturday night

probably but I certainly hope not. Gonna be my first big road trip with just me and my son, my first trip to Columbus and his first Spartan football game. His first Spartan experience was hoops vs Georgetown at MSG when he was 4 or 5 which didnt work out so well.

Glad they got the win but will be lucky to win 2 of their next 5.

wisconsin didnt look great against NW but we will still be huge dogs. uofm is a train wreck and Illinois sucks. psu is still a wild card to me - cant tell if theyre good or if theyre just beating up on chump teams. I could see us 3-2 but with 2 clown stompings for the losses. and 3-2 is my best case, not my 95% confidence interval prediction.

wisco gets first 3 B1G games and both interdivision games as part of a 5 game streak at home. That's good scheduling.

I'd call you referring to Heyward as a beast going into the season enough for me to make that claim. Also, what's wrong with wanting more consistency out of our 3 year starting qb? I've acknowledged he's our best qb and we has talent. I just feel he's either skipping or sailing far too many easy throws every game.

calling him a beast preseason when last year he was a beast makes me a fan boy? OK

theres nothing wrong with wanting more consistency. perhaps you should strive for that yourself because Id call you calling him a shitty qb and then saying you didnt say he aucks in the same thread when his stats were pointed out to you and then shitting on him for a 300 yard 3 TD passing and 78 yds rushing performance pretty inconsistent. Id also say criticizing him for not hitting a guy FIFTY YARDS downfield in stride and calling a routine, uncontested deep ball an amazing catch total and complete nonsense. if i ddnt know better i would say whoever said that knows nothing about football but instead, i chalk it up to your anti lewerke bias and stuubborn unwillingness to give him credit.

I quit reading after you said Heyward was a beast last year. You're clearly blind when it comes to football.

We both know you read the whole thing. and for someon who is not blind when it comes to football you sure have a hard time when it comes to seeing numbers. Heyward was a beast last year or is 4.5 yards per carry and 7.8 yds per reception for an underutilized back on a shitty offense with a garbage offesnive line just pedestrian stats? is this where you stop reading and dismiss facts - Heyward was garbage last year despite his impressive numbers because he fumbled three times 10 months later?

and he was leaps and bounds better than scott who ran like a girl but the coaches kept going with him because he had a great freshman year.

Its hilarious that you're keeping this heyward thing up. You want facts? Here goes.

Heyward had ONE good game vs a terrible Maryland run defense(gave up almost 200 yards a game rushing) where he had a meaningless 80 yard td in the 4th quarter to put us up 21. He averaged 3.3 yards his freshman year, 3.3 this year and in the other other 12 games besides that Maryland game what do you think he averaged? You guessed it, 3.3 yards.

Even tho the stats completely back up my case that he sucked last year, they dont even take into account the fact that he consistently ran into his own guys because he has no vision.

As far as his pass catching, I've always stated that he should be moved to wr.

Real question, since when are 80 yd TDs when your team is up only 2 scores with 11 minutes left "meaningless?" especially considering we threw ints on the 2 previous possessions - one that would have been a TD had the MD player not fumbled into the end zone from the 1 yd line. I dont think that was a meaningless TD at all. It mattered for the score, it let us flip the field and take pressure off the defense. It was way bigger than meaningless.

Dont try to make this about something its not. I'm not defending heyward this year, before we got in this discussion, i already said we should stick w/ one guy and it should be Collins. Heyward's stats this year are irrelevant to his performance last year.

also, did you think i wouldnt check your math? Heyward's rushing total ex-Maryland was 3.7 yards not 3.3. And in 7 games last year he had 5 carries or less - you should know that can definitely hurt a guy's average. In games where he got more than 10 carries he averaged 4.7 yards. and lets not forget we had no offensive line and no passing game last year. sorry but the stats dont support your argument. they do support my case that he was underutilized last year. This year, he can't hold on to the football and Collins is playing better, they should stick with Collins.

I know you need this to be about me saying something I'm not about heyward because you cant defend your backpedalling on Lewerke and criticizing him for being slightly off the mark FIFTY yards down field, but at least use the actual data.

I entered 113 instead of 103 for carries. My bad(see I can admit when I'm wrong) yeah 3.7 is soooooo much better

Backpedaling from what? That I made a comment about him underthrowing a 44 yard pass to a wr that came back and made a great catch? Sorry guy, that was actually what happened on that play.
