Week 3 Redskins Predictions

Yeah he should, he's freakin' Calvin Johnson. He catches balls all the time with 2 and 3 guys on him. You know why? Because he can leap higher than everyone else..and has great hands.

Forcing throws leads to int's .... Not smart.

Are you dumb? So you'd take 2 yards on that play all day over a chance at getting a 1st down?

I would take a 1-on-1 matchup of a vet over a rookie every Sunday from now until the day I die over throwing into 2-3 man coverage, if only a handful of yards are needed. Nate fucked up on the play and didn't do his job. Shit happens.

No, Nate didn't do his job but Staff fk'd up. In the huddle they said "its going to you Nate" and that was it. Staff threw it quickly, didn't look at anyone else and made a bad decision. Throwing it short of the marker is a huge risk ..

It is...and Staff probably shouldn't have thrown it if he saw Nate got jammed well by the CB (I will fuck up spelling his name, and refuse to use HB..) but in a 1-on-1, there is no excuse Nate doesn't win that match up.

That said...I'd have loved to see another slant to CJ to the house in that instance. That might be the best throw I've ever seen Staff make.

I wouldn't be as perturbed if Staff threw a 4 yard pass to where he thought Nate would be..and if Nate got jammed, incomplete okay. It would have sucked but at least it would have made sense.

But in this situation, Nate got jammed and Staff threw a two yard pass with a guy draped all over him. I would have waited a second or two more to see if Nate could get some separation and get pass the marker..

Now granted, I don't know if anyone was open but I was also bothered by the play call a little bit, no one went deep - all short routes so the defense was all jammed up making it harder..

Dumb? Who's the retard that would throw a ball into 5 defenders on ONE guy? Find me one fn person who agrees with you. Better yet, find me a fn QB that would do it. Are you fn kidding me? lol

You were in the huddle? Fn genius i tell ya....

Cjs never been covered by 5 guys....ever. throwing to nate was dumb. nate couldnt beat a rookie who is like 190 lbs soaking wet.....our offense blew the entire second half vs a shitty team. Lose again this week and we'll collapse like we always do. Get your top 10 draft pick threads ready!

Questionable throw no doubt...not debating that.

and your boy Mitch is the one who mentioned the 5 guys on CJ and he would still throw it to him. You agree?

nah....id have a #2 wr by now so when they bracket CJ id have other options other than a couple of brickhands and a guy that cant beat someone named honeybadger 1 v 1.

If id chose one or the other i guess i agree that id rather throw it up to CJ than to throw 2 yards when you need 4 on 4th down. To be honest that route should have never been ran....so i place most the blame on linehan like i have been the last 4 years.

Hard to blame Linehan for that. A lot of dropped passes and the defense broke down when most needed.

And you said it yourself, you rip on Mathieu so why not throw to his side? Thats a double standard

it was more of a jab at nate who cant beat a small dude off the line. We had a WR not named CJ go over 80 yards once in 2 years (broyles).....do you understand how pathedic that is lol. We throw the ball 600 times a year....ONCE! its so bad....

I understand the jab at Nate but you're still ripping on Mathieu for being tiny...lol.

We need Broyles to step up and become another threat. I feel your pain, man

The 5 guy was mentioned because a 2 yard pass to a guy who was jammed at the line was never going to get a 1st down. Never. He had no chance. Just throw it up, maybe we get lucky, a PI call or defensive holding..

I thought you could see that..

There's still a lot of football left but so far Burelson has looked like shit, that 4th and 4 is on him with an assist to Stafford. Broyles better be active this week and getting some plays. Receivers looked like crap and the secondary didn't have a good day either. It was obvious that Ari had a better WR/DB core than we did. We need both sides to rebound this week going against a bad secondary and a QB that has yet to find a rhythm. If Fairley is back I'm expecting RGIII to turn the ball over a couple times, with our WR's picking apart their secondary. Mix in a couple bonehead plays and it will only look close on the scoreboard. Theo needs some reps, everyone knows Bush is only good for 13 games and anything else is a bonus. With Edwards out Scheff needs more than redzone, and the coach's need to learn to adjust their play on the fly (old dogs new ticks). If bush is limited and Leshoure gets some plays he better hold on to the ball. I would feed Bell, he's looked good and has a nice mix of run you over / make you miss. More play action please. 32-24 Lions

I think they just put Leshoure out to pastor.

After Bush went out against Arizona and Bell having a horrible day you'd think they would have used him a little bit. But Bupkis. He went from promise, coaches words, to injured to promise again - to not in the rotation even after the top guy goes out.
