What other B1G teams lose

Right. He is big and fast, but I don't know that he can run a route or catch a football. I am not saying that he can't, just that I haven't seen him do it. You'd have to be pretty damn good to be a first round TE.

He's got great hands, I mean really great. In Spring ball he caught everything thrown near him and was the best player on the field at times. He makes the spectacular catches sometimes, but he drops the easy ones. He needs to learn his position better and be better in his blocking technique.

I mean if you have a young QB taking over there are 3 things you really want, a good O line, good RBs, and a good TE to dump it to. I think Maxwell will have all 3 and that gives him the best chance to excel. I know Dantonio is really high on Maxwell and thinks he could have successfully lead the team had Cousins gone down this year, but I haven't see it yet so we'll see. I do know he has a better arm than Cousins and throws a tighter spiral, but that's just a small part of playing QB.

This program has the looks of a good team built to last. Losing Narduzzi could be tough, but that's what happens to good programs, people want your assistants. Michigan is back quickly too and I look for the Legends division to be decided on Michigan soil again in 2012.

If Dion is really that good, then why didn't he play much this year?

I already put something in about Ohio State's losses but...

Defense
Strike Nathan Williams off the list. He has applied for and should get a red shirt. The only contributors we are losing on D Ty Moeller and Andrew Sweat. After missing the majority of two seasons with a head injury and then a torn pectoral Moeller was never the factor we thought he would be. I am not sure Sweat was ever fully healthy his senior season and missed the last two games completely. Sweat is a big loss.

Offense
We are getting decimated here. Adams, Brewster, Shugarts, Herron, and Posey are all major contributors. Our OL is in big trouble making the loss of Kyle Kalis all the more painful.

Ohio State is a bit of a special case since we don't even know the specifics of the offense and defense for next year. It will be tough to say how much or how little our losses will affect us.
