Wide spread election fraud 2020

If they ended the wars, they could pay for repairing the infrastructure. Or some of it. But that is not what gets these hucksters elected and re-elected.

"I will replace our crumbling water delivery infrastructure" is not as glamorous as "Yes, We Can!"
I'm not even sure repairing the infrastructure requires offset. Every dollar spent that way is great for the economy. So long as there's no inflation, I would approve all sorts of legit productive infrastructure (no bridges to nowhere).

Yeah, you were right, my bad.

Same shit, different day.

Same fuckin’ god damn liberal media bias.

How could I have been so wrong?

Oh, right - I don’t have the precognition.

Or maybe not even just the hyper-intuition.

how is it different? I don't recall any member of congress calling for or condoning protestors storming the capital.

Edit: admittedly, I did not see the mostly peaceful riot coming, but when I said it wouldn't be different than 2000, 2004 and 2008, I was referring to the objections by Congress and Pence not going rogue.

it doesn't. equating the finances of government (which can just print more money) with the finances of a household (which can't) is another rhetorical sleight of hand they employ.

growing the domestic sector like that won't mean less bombs and Hellfires to drop and shoot in Afghanistan or Yemen, it just means the defense contractors need to double or triple the size of their contracts in order to keep affording those new McMansions in places like McLean or Falls Church, VA. And their lobbyists and lawyers won't be able to afford those condos and townhomes in DC, with the nice wine bars you can walk to on the corner.

money spent on repairing infrastructure doesn't generate growth, unless it also increases productivity (increased capacity utilization). It's mostly a jobs program - and safety. Expanding infrastructure (ex-bridges to nowhere) would potentially add to growth.

what we NEED is high speed rail between every major city. We need to catch up to the rest of the world and add more trains

giving workers jobs, from which they can earn above starvation wages & then use to buy cars, TVs, Playstations, groceries, houses, clothes, pay for cable/wifi, etc. AND pay taxes on = growth.

It?s a jobs program, not a growth generator.

So what?

Right, I didn?t see the mostly peaceful riot coming either - I saw something between what we saw in the previous certification objection years and what we saw yesterday - a lot louder than before, but not as loud as what happened.

What we saw was too much must see TV - I did not want to see that.

so it would require some offset. It's not an immaterial, nit picking difference like the kind you prefer. The big difference is it doesn't generate a lot of growth and it's not easy to do both given the state of the infrastructure and the money required for the needed repairs.

ASCE Infrastructure Grade Report 2017. It ain't no better in 2021. Link

I've had my nose buried in CE for 2 days and haven't paid much attention, but have still heard plenty of idiots calling this sedition, a hangable offense etc, etc and blaming Trump's rhetoric and calling for his impeachment and removal.

No. I don't know for sure if you really don't understand or if you just like disagreeing that much. I say I wouldn't fund a bridge to nowhere so you say bridges to nowhere spur growth? It's a knee-jerk reaction with you.

so, some members objected and Pence did his job as predicted. I'll thank you in advance for never questioning my clairvoyant abilities again.

no, the knee-jerk is your twitch. Funding bridges to nowhere isn't repairing infrastructure, it's growth that provides no return. Repairing infrastructure is fixing or replacing crumbling bridges, tunnels, roadways, sewers, etc, etc. That's not growth, it's a jobs and safety program.

Right.

Calling storming the Capitol in an attempt to make the Vice President change the results of the election at the behest of the losing outgoing president an act of sedition.

What are idiots thinking?

Oh wait - I said that myself back on this very thread.

I guess you’re calling me an idiot.

Oh well.

One man’s idiot terrorist is another man’s idiot freedom fighter.

At least now I get to be in the club with everyone else on this board you’ve called an idiot.

Now...why is it that you spend so much time here with us idiots, again?

EDIT: Check out this idiot - he used the word “insurrection.”

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7-AmS66ryHo

I kind of the “insurrection” and “sedition” are pretty similar, but then again...how the fuck would I know?

Also I didn’t recommend impeachment on this thread - no need for that with just two weeks left. The 25th amendment route, which I suggested would be fine.
