Wisconsin Game

Yeah, I'm really "thumping my chest" about this game. Where do you come up with this shit?
It's hard to believe that someone is that insecure that they use MSU losing as a way to validate an insignificant week old argument about the ND game. Not surprised that you did though.

it's hard to believe that someone is so full of shit and so full of themselves at the same time as you. project much? you're like a middle school kid.

O'Connor after the game said "I've never seen that kind of pressure coming at me before"...I thought the offensive line gave him enough time. They couldn't get any holes opened for the backs though.

he should lose his captain spot for throwing the line under the bus like that. they got at him a few times but for the most part he had plenty of time. he should lose his starting job and the "C" for his play, but if Dantonio doesn't strip him of his captaincy for that quote, he's nuts.

This was the full quote

?I?ve never seen that kind of pressure coming at me,? he said. ?There are a lot of opportunities I think I?ll see where (I) can maybe get us into some different plays or different protections. We did a better job of picking up protections in the second half. There?s always a soft spot when they bring people like that. It?s my job to find it.?

Again, I really didn't see the pressure and I truly believe that he can't read defense's pre snap.

You started it Mack, might want to look in the mirror.

Wisconsin has a good defense, led the country in scoring defense and MSU hasn't played them since 2012 so they're not familiar with the system. I think any problems TOC had are exacerbated when you can't run the ball well. Knee jerk reaction is just to say that he sucks and put in the next guy, hoping that there's another Connor Cook on the roster.

This was a 7 point game when they had the scoop and score that was simply a backbreaking play. We actually outgained them, but we simply can't overcome 4 (really 5 when you count the snap fumble) turnovers. He should have had another one on the play that went through the linebackers arms and Lyles ended up with it. We have a lot of work to do but a lot contributed to the snowball effect today.

This is what a good front seven looks like.

I didn't start anything, you take everything so personally. quit being such a bitch or fuck off. or do both, I don't care.

This is you starting it, trying to re-hash a minor disagreement from last week, just own that, you did it. You pretty much follow me around on these boards and make it a point to disagree with everything I post, sports related or not, just because you have some major insecurity that you can't ever let anything go. Any argument with you just goes on and on until I walk away because you just keep going like a baby who always has the last word, but you'r a prick, so that's to be expected.

that's a little different. still I agree with you, the pressure wasn't all that bad, he had time and he missed throws and threw into coverage not even seeing wide open guys all day. sadly, now he has a month of facing soft teams where he can look serviceable, maybe even like a top 5 or 6 QB in the league. so if we should be abandoning him and giving the year to someone who is coming back, it may not seem like an obvious decision.

The "point" you were making was a shot at me, some kind of glorious moment for you, finding enjoyment in our loss because it gave you some kind of ammo to go after me. you're a shallow child.

From what I've seen/heard/read, Wisconsin is a solid but far from spectacular team. Like most Badger squads, I guess. Significantly more dangerous in a big game at Camp Randall than on the road. Spartans figure to shut down the running game and then make life miserable for whichever QB is left standing.

Never mind.

Gotta give it up for the Badgers, though. Chryst is an underwhelming guy but he sure has that team playing well. As for MSU, there's a long way to go. Buckeyes lost the third game of the season two years ago to Virginia Tech and every fan I know thought the sky was falling. Anything can happen.

Yeah but Ohio State had talent! I just think our Senior class this year is ehh at best and we rely on them so much. When your 5th year QB throws 3ints and is unable to read a defense you know it's going to be a rough season. I'm hoping for a miracle, but I'm not holding my breath with Tyler O'Connor running the team.

We gift wrapped 20 points for them. The d really had no chance given the holes they were put in. TOC is our guy for the time being but the leash is shortening. He was bad but we really need to start passing in non passing downs, they put 8 in the box on 1st and 2nd and then dropped back on 3rd, we need to mix it up a bit. Teams are going to force our qb to beat them so we have to keep their defense honest. We were way too predictable yesterday, TOC sucked but he only threw on downs that everyone knew they were throwing

Unlike Dantonio, Chryst knows how to keep a team down. How many sacks did the Badgers have with a 3 TD lead? The Badgers are a good team but based on how poorly we played and were coached, it's premature say they're great. Definitely look like head and shoulders above Iowa though, that's for sure.

No, if I was going to take a shot at you, I would have said something like "Hey Sbee, football genius, did you know that "very good" front 7 from ND just got their first sack of the year last night in their 4th game of the year, a game they lost to to dook where dook averaged 5.0 yards per carry and ran for 208 total yards (net of the 1 sack)?".

You take this personally and instead admitting you were wrong, throw a tantrum and accuse me of being a child. You're pathetic. Now please, for the 3rd time shut the fuck up.

The inability to run the ball was not the problem for Tyler O'Connor yesterday. Tyler O'Connor sucking was Tyler O'Connor's problem - as has been noted by others, he had plenty of time, threw tons of bad balls and missed open guys - didn't even see them. And as beyond reproach as many think Dantonio is, he didn't have this team ready and got out-coached in every aspect of the game. The defensive backfield was supposed to be the better athletes vs. the wisco receivers but they were playing off their men all day and they got torched by a freshman QB making his first start. If Lewerke is even even close to as good O'Connor, I think he should get a shot. And I'm not writing off the season - O'Connor stinks so why not have roughly the same shot going forward with a guy who will be coming back for a couple more years. Why waste this experience on O'Connor.

Now, as I said before, O'Connor is going to get a chance to look good against IU, BYU, the Mildcats and MD and next year we're going to have to start another inexperienced QB.

The QB deserves all the criticism he's getting after yesterday, but I'd say our defense is pretty disappointing so far. The overall stats looked alright yesterday, and they were done no favors with some short fields, but when Wisconsin needed to move the ball, they didn't have much problem in doing so. It looks like the DB's are just as bad as last year and the front 7 isn't as good.

I thought you said you were done with this? I guess you just can't help yourself, typical egomaniac. You made your front seven comment right after I made my first post in the thread. You're not that hard to figure out.

I think you're putting your heart in front of your head here sbee. We threw the ball 7 times on first down in the first half alone. O'Conner was 2-7 for 14 yards on those throws. Honestly, what is he going to figure out now that is gonna stop him from staring down his first read every single time or not being able to read a defense at all pre snap? I mean, he's been here for 5 fucking years!
