Um, I don't think you get it. Those were our guys that messed up. Or are you assuming in 2013 they won't screw up, it was an anomaly? The point is, he did fumble, he did botch it, he did drop the TD's.

They'll screw up. Just cut the screw ups in half. And when they screw up I don't see 9 TDS again and 4 special teams TD. Maybe the Lions give up 5-6 TDs at most from offense/special teams.

Durham ran 2 wrong routes. He has an offseason to learn and might not even play
Logan 3 fumbles. Gone
Calvin 3 lost fumbles again I don' think so.
Stafford fluke fumble for a TD against Lambeau. That won't happen again
Pettigrew might lose 2 but not in OT to set up the game winner and giving the Titans an easy TD.
Botched OT snap.

I couldn't believe the fluke crap that happened to the Lions last year with regards to turnovers. If it happens in 2013 at the same rate, then and only then is it a huge problem. Right now it's an anomaly IMO and will be cut in half.

You don't know they'll screw up less. If LeShoure was Barry Sanders, he'd be better. Lol. Ever thought if the Rams didn't lose 2 OL starters during the game we would have lost? If Vick didn't throw 2 INT and botched a snap for a fumble, we would have lost?

The point, all teams make mistakes.

All teams make mistakes. But the mistakes made in 2012 was an insane amount of mistakes that won't happen at that rate again. I can guarantee that for Detroit.

5-6 Special Teams allowed/offensive turnover TDs max next year.

It's razor thin in the NFL and the Lions were competitive despite an insane amount of turnovers with 0 help from the defensive TDS. Those turnovers happen to the Bears and the Bears get 0 defensive scores in a year, the Bears would go 0-16 and get blown out every week.

Hell give me 2 defensive Lion scores and 7 TDs allowed by special teams/offensive Lion turnovers and the Lions are 8-8 with the firepower they have on offense.

It's so razor thin that the Lions could win 10-11 games next year. They have the talent too especially on offense. The Lions are not a true 4-12 team no matter what the record says.

And I know this because the Lions had 16 picks and 20 fumbles in 2011 compared to 17 and 24 in 2012 but only gave up 3 TDs off turnovers/2 special teams TD in 2011. Plus they had 7 defensive scores in 2011. 2-4 isn't ridiculous for Detroit's defense.

I just explained to if Vick didn't have that botched fumble, we lose. Our mistakes aren't any bigger than many other teams.

We had way more mistakes than any other team. Lions cut it in half and their offense is good enough to get them 10-11 wins. You can't say that about the Vikings/Bears and Eagles.

The number of mistakes made and how competitive the Lions in damn near every game just show how good the Lions are as a team moving the ball and making stops.

Give me a stat that says we made more mistakes? A link? Something. Give me a break. We were a 4 win team last season, we played like a 4 win team last season.

We set the record for most losses after leading with 2 minutes left. We didn't lose because of mistakes. We lost because we couldn't make a stop.

We need to stop finding new ways to lose and come up with a few ways to win. I swear last year we lost so many close games in the strangest ways.

That Eagles game says it all. When the Lions win the turnover battle or are just even, they usually win the game.

Well let's see. Just in division the Bears had a shitty offense but they had a ton of defensive scores and it was all about turnovers why the Lions got swept by the Bears. Lions 3 turnovers in the redzone in Chicago while the Lions held the Bears to 13 points and Bears got 16 out of 26 points from turnovers at Ford Field.Instead of Lions sweeping Bears, they get swept because of turnovers.

The Pack had 2 defensive scores(both against the Lions in one score games). Sweep of Lions instead of Lions sweeping.

Vikings had at least two special teams scores. Both against the Lions which got them a win at Ford Field.

Detroit is 5-1 in division if not for turnovers.

But if you want I'll work on the offensive turnover TDs and special teams allowed by every team if you want. I gurantee the Lions are much higher. I know within in the division it was just the Lions shooting themselves in the foot in 5 division games not the Bears/Vikings or Packers actually being better than the Lions.

Most teams win when they win the turnover battle. Welcome to football, 1920. Basically saying other teams the Lions play don't have TO?

And the Lions won't have as many as they did in 2012. Cut it in half. Welcome to 2013

Turnovers.

Do you really expect 16 lost fumbles, 17 picks (9 turnovers resulting in TDs and 10 resulting in FGs) and 4 special teams TDs allowed. Not likely.

Yeah I do..

Eagles had 37 turnovers. Only 8 went for TDS. 5 less than the Lions with 4 more turnovers.

There will not be 13 TDs from turnovers and special teams against the Lions in 2013.

But you make it sound like Petti won't drop balls, INT won't be thrown etc. How do you know this? Lions were 27 in points against, that's not an anomaly.

Ints will be thrown but not for so many tds going the other way. 9 is ridiculous plus 4 special teams.

Pettigrew might fumble twice but it probably won't be in OT or for a td return. Calvin won't fumble 3 times(see his career). Logan and his 3 fumbles are long gone. And there won't be 4 special teams scores. I'll give you 2 at worst.

Plus the Lions won't have 0 special teams and defensive TDs again.

But the big thing is Stafford could just turn it on like he did in 2011 and dominate. Then it doesn't matter if we give up a ton of TDs or special teams Tds allowed.

So now the Lions will have ST and Def. TD's? Our ST blows, how is that going to improve?

2-3 defensive scores. Hell even if it's pure luck on 2 mistakes by other QBs. Reggie Bush could take one to the house.
