Tigers acquire Omar Infante and Anibal Sanchez

Sure the Tigers will be criticized for what they gave up, but they were for the Cabrera trade and the Fister trade.

Tigers acquire Omar Infante and Anibal Sanchez

Yeah but understand that Jacob Turner is not a ML pitcher yet and could blow his arm out at any time or just never make it to the bigs full time. Anibal Sanchez is a good starter who you know what you are getting with him and he is an established ML pitcher.

Tigers acquire Omar Infante and Anibal Sanchez

I agree, fills two holes in one without giving up Castellanos.
  4. buddyboy2121

Tigers acquire Omar Infante and Anibal Sanchez

I highly doubt there is anything else significant.

Tigers acquire Omar Infante and Anibal Sanchez

Dude, established starting pitcher and a 2B that is good on both offense and defense is totally worth a pitching prospect. So many things can go wrong with pitching prospects, unless they are can't miss a la Justin Verlander and Stephen Strasburg, if you can get 2 established players for one...

    Tigers Hot Stove 2012

That trade would be awful for the Tigers straight up Peralta for Drew.

    Crazy Trade Idea Thread

I'm just saying I don't think he would be an issue in the clubhouse, not whether he is an upgrade or not.

    Tigers Hot Stove 2012

Hellickson is also inconsistent and has a high WHIP, Shields when he has confidence in his fastball is a much better pitcher and is an established workhorse.

    Tigers Hot Stove 2012

The Rays are also saying Hellickson may be available and would probably cost the same as Shields would cost, but add in that draft pick the Tigers just won. If I'm DD, I try to make a run at these pitchers Felix Hernandez (Would cost too much though) Wade Miley Edison Volquez Jonathon Niese...

    Tigers Hot Stove 2012

Tigers are scouting James Shields tonight, seems like a DD kind of pitching target. Established, top of the rotation stuff, and under team control for a few years. Would love James Shields in the old English D.

    Crazy Trade Idea Thread

I doubt he would have issues with the Tigers' clubhouse, especially with his good pal Miguel Cabrera.

Top 10? He isn't in my top 10, probably not even top 15 Matt Kemp Ryan Braun Miguel Cabrera Justin Verlander Clayton Kershaw Albert Pujols Joey Votto Prince Fielder Jered Weaver Josh Hamilton

Are you fucking serious? You think Trout is a superstar after little over a half year?

    Crazy Trade Idea Thread

Similar hitter? Trout is killing it right now, but Miguel is better at hitting for power and does everything else better or close to Trout. Proven All-star/fHOF/MVP candidate >>> Rookie who is having a hell of a year.
  19. buddyboy2121

    Crazy Trade Idea Thread

Where were all the Trout supporters when he hit .220 and had a .281 OBP? No way the Tigers would accept a straight up Trout for Cabrera trade, established, perennial MVP candidate, HOF bound hitter for a rookie who has in no way shown that he is capable of keeping up the pace he is at right...
