Haven't you heard? We are absolutely loaded at every position LKP said so.

However if you still can't understand that the QB has the single most impact on a game vs any other player not sure how we can help you. It is the one position that can routinely lose games by themselves, no other position can do that. Sure one position can lose you game here or there, but none have the direct impact a QB does on the success of the team.

Look at the playoff teams last year. 8 out of the top 10 rated QBs, their teams made the playoffs.

There is a correlation when you have a good QB. It makes a good QB better. And Stafford is a good QB. 2011 his best year he had his best run game, healthy weapons, decent protection and 34 turnovers. It's not a coincidence he threw 41 TDs with 5,000 yards that year.

2011 vs 2013 were identical situations essentially. 2013 had a slightly better defense.

Rush yards excluding Stafford (since we are talking about help around him)
2011 Rush yards - 334 for 1445 4.33 yards
2013 Rush yards - 408 for 1723 4.22 yards
Not much of a difference, it is the equivalent of less than 3 yards a game when adjusted to an equal amount carries.

So same defense, same running game, different QB results. Still makes sense the actual guy (QB) has the majority to do with his success as opposed to anyone/anything else.

Fair or not, a team's success falls a LOT on the QB's shoulders. That's just the nature of the sport. He is responsible for seeing defenses, moving players, making throws, etc... and if he's unable to move the offense, that directly impacts the defense in terms of how much they have to defend.

And when your QB is below expectations, which Stafford is, you won't reach the mountain top. His 0-200000 record on the road against winning teams speaks to that. You take a guy like Drew Brees, Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Rivers, Luck, insert elite QB here... and this team would have been VERY successful.
