2015 schedule

Well first, I said 8-8. Many others said 9-7. They exceeded what I put down. And that's fantastic.

But when it matters, the playoffs, they choked.

And holy shit, neither can you. You said they wouldn't lose a freaking game.

I said 11-5 with a great defense.

And they didn't choke. They outplayed the Cowboys and were screwed by the refs. It's like you didn't even watch that game. Blatant holding by Dallas Oline all second half and blatant PI.

Lions had the ball in the 4th quarter with about 2:30 to go. Stafford couldn't lead them down the field for the winning TD.

Stafford did. Refs allowed the Cowboys offside and called a bogus false start on Detroit. 4th down never should have happened. Stafford was marching down the field with ease.

Lions were truly up by about 10 points anyway. If the refs did their job, Lions woudln't have neede a comeback.

you have such a loser's mentality!

Lions won the game truly. Outplayed the Cowboys and could have easily beat Seattle, Green Bay and Patriots.

You think they should have lost. You have the loser mentality.

no, you blame outside influences for lack of success. You are always blaming someone else...making excuses...calling losses "true wins". You are the type of person that blames the teacher for you getting an F, it's the coaches fault that you weren't the starter, the college's fault because you weren't accepted.

If Stafford were a great QB he could have lead that team down the field for the win. But he isn't a great QB and he isn't a winner. This is backed up by the fact that he has NEVER been able to lead his NFL team to a victory vs. a winning team while on the road. 0-18 and counting!

Stafford did lead them down the field. The refs missed an offisde and Reiff missed a block (which he didn't all year).

Lions outplayed the Cowboys. That is a fact. They got screwed out of a win. I tell the real reason they lost, it was the refs.

You'd think the Lions would have a good enough team where bad refs wouldn't matter.

The refs were that terrible. Any team would have lost that game in the history of the game.

So you are trying to tell us that there isn't a single team in the history of the NFL that couldn't come back from a 4 point deficit vs. the 19th rated defense with the ball and 2:30 left in the game? You are really trying to tell us that?

My guess is there have been hundreds of comebacks like that or better than that within the past 10 years...let alone in the HISTORY of the NFL!

Not a single one. Due to the refs screwing them on the offside too. The best teams might have been down by more than 4. Lions dominated that first half. Refs really had to just flat out allow holding by Dallas.

A team of all pros would have lost that game given how incompetent the refs were.

Nice to see LKP keeps his gimmick going all year round. I would have thought he'd at least take a break until after the draft.

Getting back to the point of the thread...the schedule doesn't look overly gruesome, but there are definitely tough stretches to start and close the season. Have to wait and see how the draft goes to really dissect things.

3-1 start, 6-2 middle, 3-1 finish. 12-4

I did too. I can't imagine he can keep this shtick up all year.

The fact that the Lions truly beat the Cowboys will never change.

Your expectations were satisfied.

But back to the schedule, loving all the national TV games. The world will watch us dominate.

I'll give you credit if you keep this up until August. But it's become part of your identity, so maybe it won't be that difficult?

If people start seeing the Lions for the great team they are, then I won't have too as much.

11-12 win team in 2015. Can win some playoff games and make the Super Bowl.

There will be no defensive regression. Still have a great back 7 and good Dline. Offense will be much better in year 2. We've got a reliable kicker. Sky is the limit for this team.

The other beat writers say 11-5 for the Lions. 6 national tv games. Going to be a great season.
