2016 Draft- Who ya got?

I'd honestly like to see him as a sub package rusher.

I'd like to see him do anything but scratch his nuts and hand out water.

I thought Van Noy was going to be a great pick....more surprised he's busted out so far than any of Mayhew other 2nd round busts. Hope he turns it around......Lions could REALLY use it.

I'm of the same mind as KDP, I think his skills aren't maximized as a traditional 4-3 OLB. He was a really good edge rusher at BYU.

I found two sites that projected him as a 4-3 coverage LB with edge rush ability. He's 243 lbs with coverage skills......maybe he's a fit for both schemes but he certainly isn't just a 3-4 LB.

Pretty sure hes packed on some weight since the combine

He made a lot of plays in the backfield at BYU....it was his job. Im assuming the transition to being a LB in coverage in the NFL is what the problem is.

I think he has been hurt for the most part. Should do well this year. I still think he can be a good player

If it's Treadwell, what item in your proximity will you throw at the TV?

Treadwell is a good, hell, maybe even a great player. I wouldn't hate the pick.

He doesn't fit this offense, though. Coleman or Fuller are a better fit.

I'd be sick if it was Treadwill or Doctson. They HAVE to fix this line. Stafford has enough. He does. Building on either line is a must.

If you want your WR, find a guy in the 3rd round that fits what you are trying to do. It would be catastrophic if the Lions took ANOTHER weapon in the first round. That shit has to stop.

jones, tate, Treadwell, Riddick, ebron....I would agree that adding a LT is a bigger need than adding an additional weapon like Treadwell. But BPA has to come into play. If Conklin is gone....do you reach that high for decker just to fill a need? If Conklin and Stanley are gone.....I think you have to start looking at other positions of need.

This organization has been doing BPA for the last decade plus. Time to try something else. Stick with your biggest need and fill it, even if that's reaching 4,5 spots.

There is enough around Stafford except the line. He's got Marvin Jones, Tate, Ebron, Abdullah, Riddick. There's PLENTY there.

Agree, o-line should be the highest priority in this draft. Not a sexy pick, but its a must. I also agree that Stafford has more than enough talent around him, aside from the offensive line. I think it is an absolute must that one of our running backs has a very solid year, running the ball. I'm so sick of this rb by commitee bs, one of these guys has to separate themselves from the rest, or start over IMO. I'm completely fed up with how lackluster our run game is, somebody needs to step up.

I agree 100%. I just don't see any way we don't go T in the 1st round (unless on is signed or traded prior to the draft). It just makes too much sense. We can upgrade (presumably) the RT spot by sliding Reiff over and it HAS to happen this year......his contract is up after 2016 and we need to find out if Reiff is the solution. Otherwise, he walks.

It seems very likely that Decker or Conklin will be there at #16 (maybe both). I also wouldn't mind Clady or a trade for Joe Thomas. We can afford Thomas and he is the best player available from that group by a wide margin. I would give up our 2nd rounder.

I mean why not? Other than a few good hits, our 2nd rounders are all out of the league lol.

FUCK YOU.......Boss Bailey was a stud!!!

Millen: "Oh, Boss??? I thought they were letting us draft Champ again. My bad."!

I think Decker will definitely be there at 16. I don't want him though. I'd rather reach and take Whitehair if we go OL. I'm losing hope on Conklin. I'm doubtful he'll be there any longer. I think he might end up being the 2nd tackle off the board by draft day. Thomas trade isn't happening. Broncos last offer before trade deadline was a 1st and 2nd rounder for Thomas and a Browns fourth rounder. Browns said they wanted a 3rd rounder as well. Personally, as long as Lions go OL, DL, DB, or LB in the first round, I'll find a way to live with the pick.

How do the Lions have enough weapons when people consistently bash Ebron on this board, we don't have a strong running game, we picked up Marvin Jones to be our #2 at worse, maybe #1 but he's still a question mark. I don't get it. A player like Treadwell or Coleman would be money. It at least gives you more options then possibly throwing out a guy like Fuller, TJ Jones, Ridley or ZZ. I like those guys but they're all question marks.......

And im not trying to start shit with this post, but cmon guys lol. Acquiring weapons is not a bad idea. Most of you guys scoff at our offense. Why not improve it??

With saying that, I'm on the defensive side of the ball this year. I want one of the DE's (currently 3 on the roster I believe) or LB ....Lee or Ragland. Sign up!!

I think we should draft OL first then linebacker or DL next. But if none of these are avaliable I am ok with more weapons. I think Matt is going to have his best season next year and a deep playoff run.
