2020 Dem candidate

Someone pointed out that Old Man Biden has been a politician for 20% of the time the USA has been a nation. Does anyone legitimately think he deserves an opportunity to run the show?

I would think many do, not my ideal guy, but I'm sure there is a large crown he appeals to. After all, did a guy with 0 political experience and several failed business ventures and bankruptcies behind him, not to mention a mountian of ethical issues, deserve it?

You ask some really dumb questions.

Stone appears to be talking again not sure if his gag order was lifted or not or what changed but he says

ROGER STONE PREDICTION: DON’T IGNORE MICHELLE OBAMA FOR 2020

Says frontrunner Biden cannon fodder for Obama machine

A guy with zero political experience is what the country was ready for in 2016. No more failed politicians, please.

So I guess you'll be voting for someone other than Trump in 2020 then?

I'm the VP of Sales for a small ($50M), private manufacturing company located in the Cleveland area. Our product line is mature but niche oriented. We grew 18% to record sales in 2018. We are 15% ahead of last year through May. Good times! The biggest problem we have is hiring workers. Our factory wages have gone up but it's still hard to find people. The Trump economy is spectacular.

My brother is Finance Director for a small town in western Ohio. He meets regularly with area manufacturers and the story is identical. People are working, people are making money and hiring qualified workers is a challenge. Trump deserves credit.

Edit: Trump is President but he's no kind of politician you ever laid eyes on. Did you hear the shit he said about John Dean yesterday. LOL!

I would argue that the country NOT being ready for Hillary had more to do with his win but to each their own.

You should come out here to SoCal with big empty trucks and load the homeless and illegals and take them back to Ohio to fill the labor void in your facilities.

Everybody wins.

No thank you. Cali has created its own set of problems. You know it?s true. And the reason you know it?s true is because you?re paying for it. Luckily for you, the fact that you graduated from UofM means you have not only the means to pay for it, you also derive the associated sense of pleasure from doing good.

Your firm must manufacture oxycontin? Cages to hold refugee children at the border?

Or spare parts for the F-35?

It doesn't add up... the economy under Trump is "booming," and unemployment is supposedly low, but the labor force participation rate isn't being counted, so the real unemployment number is higher. This was, BTW true under Obama as well, as I recall Republicans pointing that out; they stopped pointing it out in 2016 though. ODD!

And despite the booming economy, Americans are killing themselves with drugs ODs, alcoholism, and committing suicide at an all time high rate, with exceptionally high rates right there in your own backyard (Ohio).

People kill themselves when things are going well, right?

It seems that they say that health care costs are a driving force behind a lot of the problems.

That's simply not true. First the unemployment rate has never included people not in the labor force (working age people not looking for jobs), it's always been unemployed/labor force. Second, the labor force participation rate has been talked about regularly, it's part of the monthly press release. It was more remarkable under Obama because much of the increase in employment came from a reduction in the denominator as discouraged workers left the labor force. The datapoint reached lows under Obama not seen since the Carter administration. Under Trump, the participation rate stopped declining from the Obama lows immediately and has ticked up a bit but has been range bound above that low the last couple years. While the economy hasn't seen an continued uptick in labor force participation, it has stabilized so unlike decreases in the unemployment rate during the Obama years, the decreases since Trump took office have come from people going back to work, not people being discouraged and leaving the labor force.

Oh, okay, thanks for explaining. that was helpful.

so other than the continued high number of people who've given up on trying to find work, and the record number of people killing themselves in despair, things are pretty good.

In previous posts you?ve included death from opiates along with suicide as people ?killing themselves.?

Much to most of the opiate crisis comes directly from the medical profession itself.

That?s not a good thing.

so people are getting addicted to drugs and overdosing in record numbers because of the economy - which has to be bad despite all the actual data that says otherwise because why else would people be getting addicted to drugs and overdosing in record numbers.

hmmm, could it be the overprescribing of highly addictive pain killers? could it be the availability of cheap, highly addictive drugs like heroine and crystal meth thanks in large part to lax border controls. Nope, it's the economy stupid. Orange man bad.

Maybe we should legalize these drugs that are causing overdose deaths to sky rocket. That, like socialism just makes too much sense.

Ol’ Creepy uncle joe sure is funny, he’s not going get the nomination

Presidential frontrunner Joe Biden told a room full of billionaires and multi-millionaires earlier this week that “nothing would change” if he won the Oval Office.

He meant he'd still take "the Amtrak" to work every day.

Oof... no wonder Biden's staffers seem to be falling all over themselves to limit his public appearances to $2500/plate billionaire fundraisers... the history of Sen. Eastland YIKES. Those comments are horrifying.

For the "America was never a racist country" crowd... note that Eastland, a Democrat (from the now-Republican Dixiecrat branch of the party) served in the senate until 1978.

I sure hope Joe Biden doesn?t win nomination. We need younger more in touch man or woman running America. But I would vote for Joe over the nitwit we have in the Oval Office. Trump is a disgrace. Any of these candidates are better then twitter lying Donald Trump but none of them have a shot against the liar and chief in the Oval Office. The GOP will cheat their way to the Oval Office again just like they always do. Some things never change. I?d like to see someone who served in the military if that candidate is out there.
