2020 Dem candidate

Doesn?t matter when it should be starting - he?s just as dead @ 5:38 as he is at the beginning and as he is at the end.

Oh, I can answer this one - paying them to keep quiet, obviously don?t work out so good.

That could take years though, I personally don't have the patience to wait that long for a winner to be declared. As a spectator, if that's the case, I'm out. I won't be paying attention to that challenge.

Where were you when Warren and Sanders massacred Tim Ryan and John Delaney on national TV?

The first night of the second Democrat 2020 primary debate was a night a full of substantive debate, thoughtful discourse, civil discussion, and enlightening and feasible policy proposals.

HONK HONK. Just kidding! In typical Democrat fashion, the debate was a complete dumpster fire — full of socialism, identity politics, and anti-American rhetoric.

do you mean where was I when Warren and Sanders used platitudes and sound bites to rouse a sycophantic audience of fools to avoid having to debate the merits and costs of their pie in the sky socialist proposals?

I was in bed, trying to figure out whether I should get a live instructor or online guitar lessons for my son.

Re: Guitar. Let the boy learn on his own for a while if he's just starting out. At least a year, to see what progress he's made and if he's serious. And face-to-face is way more effective than online. Instant feedback is invaluable. You didn't ask and you can tell me to heave my Taylor 210 ce into traffic, but that's my opinion.

Thanks - it's an open forum, jump in any time.

I've never played an instrument and if I had, the question would have been between a live instructor or a VHS tape set.

as a follow up, should we just let him goof around with it? I have no base to even teach him simple chords. I agree, instant feedback is invaluable and I also think early "success" is important too. I worry he won't have that if we just say, "Happy birthday, here's a guitar we can't show you how to play."

He wants this instrument, right? And the Mel Bay Guitar Chord Chart is a good start to learn how to play chords. A lot of superior guitar players are self taught. My only other advice is that he learn the notes on the fretboard from fret one to 12.

Oh come on. It worked for Trump. Maybe they're on to something.

I don't to have to like the extreme left to appreciate a retort that left the other guy looking like they just shit their pants on stage. Still glad I didn't watch, catching the highlights was worth it though.

don't know, we picked up a Fender Squire at a garage sale for $25 a little over a year ago, stuffed it behind the basement fridge and forgot to give it to him at Christmas. He's expressed interest but I wouldn't say he's bugging us for an instrument. He's played football for 3 years and will begin limited contact this year and full tackle next year which neither of us really want so we're looking for new options for him to (hopefully) choose.

I actually wouldn't mind finding another cheap starter guitar and trying it out with him.

not judging, just calling it like I see it.

I used to think a further left candidate would be good for Trump but now I'm not so sure - could just be the skewed coverage but I'm worried someone like Warren, as crazy (and dumb) as she is, could energize a lot of the voters who couldn't get off the couch for Hillary.

I'm of the same thought process basically. Reading a lot of narrative that CNN, while trying to make Warren/Sanders look bad, actually made them look stronger because they both handled the questions directed at their 'pie in the sky' policies so well.

If Biden keeps slipping, there is a real possibility that we have extreme right vs extreme left in 2020. And here I thought my choices in 2016 were bad..

I?m pretty sure I learned chords at first from friends and maybe my cousins. I took some lessons with the group for a short while but I never had one on one instruction that was paid for.

I used to play quite a bit, accompanying myself singing, but it?s been quite some time since I pulled the old axe out of the box.
