Bankman-Fried was the Dems second largest donor behind George Soros. He spent $38mm in '22 with promises to donate $100mm plus to keep Biden in the White House and promote progressive policies. He's the one suspected of committing fraud and laundering donations through Ukraine. His $38mm dwarfs the $4mm another FTX exec gave to a crypto lobbying pac that supports some Republicans. That PAC is not suspected of any wrongdoing. To say that's its equal or even the same thing is just disingenuous hand waving whataboutism.

I have no idea what the cartoon is about. I don?t know who Sam Bankman Fried is, I just looked him up. Apparently a crypto king who went broke. I guess he?s culturally Jewish. I don?t know that that makes the little cartoon antisemitic.

I was aware of who the guy was and that he was embroiled in controversy. When I looked at that cartoon, the only thing I thought about the caricatures is they drew his ex (who I'm also kinda aware of) to be way more attractive than she is - she's pretty hard to look at in real life. Anyway, I didn't think anything about his or her culture or religion until Johnny brought it up. For a second I wondered if I missed something? So I took a closer look and realized it was just more bullshit hyperbole.

I have no doubt both of these guys support every instance of actual anti-semetism, anti-Israel nonsense from the squad and the Democratic party in general. Calling this cartoon "blatantly antisemetic" is just a tactic to impugn the opposition and avoid having to acknowledge the issue. To them, everything is bigotry except their actual and obvious bigotry.

I have Truth Social account and after reviewing the actual chain of events. Looks to me like he retweeted 4 total things from a user going by the name Andrea @ God_Bless_Trump. the one in question has small print that he probably didn't read before he re-tweeted it. The user is probably a troll that duped him into a self inflicted harm tweet. It's what they do. The three other re-tweets from the same user were all harmless depictions of him as super man and playing chess and stupid stuff like that to build trust first before the gotcha.

what I think you're missing is that it's an indictment of their team that's easier to dismiss than disprove, so it's anti-semetic. It's another way of saying they don't like it.

Correction: Bankman-Fried had pledged to spend $1B (not $100mm) during the 2024 election cycle to keep Democrats in the White House.

It's also worth noting Bankman-Fried comes from an extraordinarily well-connected family. His father, Joseph Bankman, is a tax scholar who teaches at Stanford Law, while his mother, Barbara Fried, is a fellow Stanford Law professor who also leads Mind the Gap. This left-wing political action committee raises funds for the Democratic Party from Silicon Valley donors. Linda Fried, his aunt is the dean of Columbia University?s Mailman School of Public Health and a co-chair of the World Economic Forum?s Global Future Council on the Future of Human Enhancement.

So no, both parties weren't equally scammed by this since the Dems weren't actually scammed by it - they were likely in on the scam.
