2022 Off-Season

Lions should make it a priority NOT to lose Glenn, Glenn did a fantastic job with the corners and the Lions can't afford to lose him. The secondary will regress if they lose Glenn

Not much they can do, really. If he's offered a head coaching job what is the draw to stay?

The Lions could pay him more money, but that just sets a terrible precedent around the league and you'll have OC and DC's making HC money. Teams don't want that. There is no other draw. He's not from here. He has no ties here. He won't be the head coach here.

The only chance we'd have to keep him is if he just didn't like the fit of the job offered to him.

Well if someone wants him as HC what should they do? Fire DC and hire Glenn themselves?

My gut says we'll get Glenn for one more year. He gone after that.

my gut tells me hes a rooney rule guy this year. I dont think the hype is real right now except as maybe a motivator. His defense did nothing spectacular other than not suck as much as we thought they were going to.

I?m just saying I?m very impressed with Glenn and would really hate to see the lions lose him already

Absolutely. I'd like to see what he could do with some talent.

I like how aggressive he calls plays. He mixes it up. Doesn't just sit back all the time like Fatricia did.

I like his scheme a lot.....if we had more talent to run it we might be on to something.

agreed...lack of talent at all levels makes it hard to judge the system right now. But they came to play...thats for sure.

Just saw the broncos list of candidates the are requesting to interview... it's honestly like 30 names deep lol. We have nothing to worry about.

8 times 24 or less with only one at 24. Bears twice, first vikings, ravens, falcons, cardinals down the stretxh sans hopkins, steelers with backup, browns when baker struggled most.

9 times too many points. Upper 30s, 40 or 50. One 27 pointer in the win over Vikings. 49ers, green bay twice, seattle with wilson healthy and penny trying to get a big contract, broncos, bengals, rams and eagles learning to run the ball were tougher and wr got slaughtered

Jekyl and hyde with young guys and depending on offenses we faced plus the lions offenses success to take a little pressure off defenses.

Can't you just make a comment without listing off numbers and comparing.

What I read, ?can?t you just make an uneducated and biased comment based off of your feelings?? Lol, what?s wrong with having context? Or facts to have a better and deeper understanding of something?

Every single time. We know what points they gave up. Defense wasn't good. And what so big about less than 24 points.. 22 teams gave up on average less than 24 points.

They dont like facts around here. Or knowing who is on the field for either team. Or knowing ref mistakes. Or any coaching decisions and gloss over the ones that worked..or any roster move especially if it wasnt their guy they posted about from minimal research with no professional football knowledge.

My post was even kind of negative towards the defense saying we only did well against bad offenses or overrated ones in ravens and cardinals. Cant win with these guys

Normally I agree, but this defense for the season was kind of strange. Yes they were second most points in the league given up, but on the flip side they had about 9 games where they held the scores really low and kept us in games. They just countered that with being completely overmatched and being blown out a few times too many as well. It shows that there is potential for the defense if they get a few more big time playmakers on the team. Also having a defense full of rookies didn't help.

No, they say all that matters is wins and losses, stats don't matter if you're losing. Unless you're Stafford apparently, because now they nitpick with stats even though he went 12-5 and won his division. I love my lions, but the more and more I meet other lions fans I'm starting to believe that the fans themselves are the curse of this franchise. They have such a negative and shitty aura about them that I think it just lingers and spreads like a plague amongst the team. I mean I remember guys still hating on Calvin Johnson because he played on some mediocre teams. Like, they expect our players to have 60 touchdown passes or 2000 yards receiving/rushing every year or they are trash and need to be traded/replaced. They were doing it with Hockenson and Taylor Decker earlier in the year. Unrealistic, or just lack of football knowledge. I wouldn't want to be a talented player here whatsoever.

Stafford was huge reason they won 11 of 12 games..and even made big plays later for the vikingd win drspite 3 picks. Rebounded huge in ravens win

41 tds..how do you just gloss over that

Yeah had a big hand in 5 losses too

12-5 is still really really good in a tough division. Lost to hot early season Cards, number 1 seed packers, number 1 seed titans and playoff 49ers twice

He did beat Cardinals with huge 2nd game. Lets see if he can do it again to move on. And lets see if he faces Bucs or Cowboys or Packers then. Hope he gets the Cowboys for 2014 revenge

My dream free agency right there.

I hope we don't lose Glenn to the Saints.

Ya i wasnt worried about losing him to Denver. But the Saints...im assuming he gets highly recommended from Payton. Potential he takes some staff with him too like Aubrey Pleasant.

With the new rules wouldn?t we receive draft compensation if another team hires Glenn, or is that just front office minorities?
