Let's hope they both continue to have success. The one item of note, she said they didn't want him throwing a "certain pitch". That pitch is his splitter. He is back to throwing it again.THE PROBLEM WITH YOUNGSTERS.![]()

Maybe its time for "the" MLB to adopt the NHL model of drafting and let its drafted players continue in college to further develop if desired. Give that player the same two years to decide next steps before they reenter the draft. Give them the same UFA status after playing college ball for four years. Undrafted players already have this option. And with "only" 20 rounds in the First-Year Draft, I think it's time to let teams trade those pick during the season as well as trade up and down during the draft.Let's hope they both continue to have success. Also, she said that the "riskiest" players to draft are HS players. Last draft they took a HS SS in the first, a RH HS pitcher in the 2nd, another HS pitcher in the 3rd. In 2023 their first 3 picks were also HS players.
If you're a high draft pick they're not going to want to get redrafted Big bonus. Even in hockey high draft picks won't reenter draft. And baseball is unique in a lot of ways - different dimension parks, no trading picks etc..Maybe its time for "the" MLB to adopt the NHL model of drafting and let its drafted players continue in college to further develop if desired.
