2025 Tigers Spring Training

There isn’t room for Malloy and Torkelson with Margot signing.
Dumb move. Just keep who you have. Unless we have enough
guys to put on IR.

You just can't let someone post positive about tork. Good lord
And you can't say one bad thing about him. How is that different? Or are we suppose to be positive about everyone? So he gets some hits vs guys that will be back down in the minors, or waived, or cut. If he hits then I'll be glad, during the season. His best year was barely above average on offense and below average on defense. He's a 1B/DH he should be pounding the ball not hitting .230 with an OPS of 107. So he looks good compared to other bad hitters on the Tigers. Yay, he's a poor man's Rob Deer..

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY.
Totally Tigers

Detroit Tiger outfielders are dropping like flies.
Parker Meadows is out until the end of May. Wenceel Perez will stay on the IL for at least 1 month. And Matt Vierling is about to be put on the 10-day IL.
None have a definite return date.

Defensively, Meadows is one of the team’s best defensive players (+5 DRS), followed by Vierling (+4 DRS). Perez is in the negative numbers with -4 DRS.
In the meantime, the Tigers signed Manual Margot who is an outfielder with some CF experience. He is a plus defender w/+1 DRS and a much-needed RHB.
There is also Jahmai Jones who is a neutral defender but with corner OF experience only.

Other options to help fill the void are Ryan Kreidler who has an elite glove and a little CF experience. There’s also Justyn-Henry Malloy and Zach McKinstry, who has more experience in the OF.

Granted, the Tigers have a lot of off-days in April but they are playing a very tough schedule, starting with the Dodgers.
How worried are you about the loss of 3 outfielders and the disruption this may cause in their performance?

What is your level of concern over the loss of 3 outfielders?

1. I need to be talked off the ledge.

2. Remaining calm but there is some real concern.

3. Confident that it will eventually work out just fine.

Ive spoke bad of him plenty.
on the flip side, there have been a lot of players that struggled for their first few years and ended up being great players.
I'm starting to think that tork did something personal to mitch.
