2B trade options?

According to ESPN, Houston may be shopping Jed Lowrie in the coming weeks. He's a decent hitter and certainly a better option than what we currently have at 2B.

.291/ .371/ .506/ .877 with 9 homers and 23 RBI's for Lowrie this year. I guess the only concern is he has only played 1 game at second base this year.. But those numbers are very enticing. OBP of .371 in the two hole would sure be nice..

He's definitely better than what we're running out there now, but I don't think he's anything better than an average player. He's doing well this year and also did so in '10, but those were small sample sizes (46gms and 55gms). He's been poor to average outside of that.

Plus he has played in Boston and Houston. His away splits are better then his home stats. . But if we can get him cheap he could help for a few months...
