2B trade options?

I'm not saying we should.

But we have 2 other 2Bman on the roster, no reason to go sign another bad hitter.

Well we know it is not Santiago for any stretch of games...He was horrible tonight.. Worth probably is a career minor league because Jim won't play him anyway.. Maybe a lefty will pitch soon and worth can have a 4-4 game... Santiago's defense sure has regressed..

That's why you get rid of him. I know you say they won't but why not? Its not like he's 24, he's a 31 year old who is hitting .144.

Oh i agree with you.. in want him sent packing... But he has the Tigers and most fan's bamboozled into thinking his second half magic is worth a hill of beans...

Maybe he does have a 2nd half in him but it doesn't help us in May. And even if kburn has never started this slow so I expect his 2nd half surge to be a bit slower.

Wow....I didn't realize Infante was playing that well.

Infante....Also has 6 homers and 20 RBI's and 6 steals and 1 cs..
Pena....Also has 6 homers and 20 rbi's and 31 walks.. Nice obp and great defense.
Joyce... Has 8 homers and 24 RBI's and 3 triples.
Ross ... Has 8 homers and 28 RBI's...

Damn we could use any of that...LOL

Why the hell did we give up on Joyce again? That one hurts me the most....

I don''t miss Joyce at all. And if max pitches more consistent even more so.

Well we traded him for Edwin Jackson. Who in turn pitched great for us one season, then got traded to Arizona for Max Scherzer.

Stll could use today though, right?

Jackson is an afterthought and Scherzer is Jekyll and Hyde out on the mound. Easy to say now i guess...

"IF". ;)

You don't miss Joyce? Have you seen our OF's out there? They're brutal. All of them, except for AJ. Oh, and Joyce can hit...

MJ is a good player and everyone (MLB) knew he would be. The only hole in his game is he can not hit lefties. In the last three years, avg= .190, obp=.256, slg= .322... that is ugly and why the Tigers were willing to let him go.

So your saying the tigers don't like to platoon.. Or we already have to many lefty's..

Not really Bob. I think the Tigers front office (DD) just made a decision to bolster the pitching staff with the only value they had from a position player standpoint. I mean, everyone knew he was gonna be in the show, it was just a matter of how good? He is only good against right handers. So at the end of the day, DD compromised defense (he always devalues) in hopes of landing a 200+ innings power pitcher with high upside. He accomplished that. Unfortunately, his vision is compromised buy other clubs strategy. Other clubs meaning .... Texas, Angels, Rays, Orioles. I said Orioles because they are a mirror build.

He always devalues? I think he just chooses things like scoring more runs and better pitching than saving a couple runs on defense.

He's not Al Kaline. He's Raburn with better defense. Normally anywhere.
