Not including Levy's deal. As per Dave Birkett Twitter.

Anything more on Stafford's deal? Don't hold your breath. Birkett

Stafford holds all the cards in restructure. 2014 franchise tag number $23.184 mil.
As per Joel Corey Twitter.

They could restructure Calvin and Tulloch for another 5 million that won't hurt too much down the road given the length of their deals.. Cut Thomas/Robiskie/Tyrell Johnson for 2.9 million. They are already at 51 contracts.

A Stafford extension would be nice though.

Well that's good because 6.7 mil will get you Reggie Bush and a pulled pork sandwich from Slows.

The Stafford issue is concerning. Sounds like his agent is gassing him up pretty hard or something. What's reasonable? 5 for 80? More? Yikes!!!!

Hey LKP, I willing to make a little friendly eat crow bet with you. I bet Thomas at no point gets cut this off season and goes into the year as at least our #3 and never drops below our #4. Whatdayathink?

Everybody is so down on the guy but I've watched him play a good bit (mainly 2010 and 2011) and I feel hes pretty damn talented. People forget he was thrown into the mix middle of like week 12 last year. With an off season to learn the system better I actually think he will surprise a lot around here.

I'll take that bet. He already will sit behind Calvin, Nate, and Broyles.

stafford realizes he top 5 paid qb in the league and plays at a top 20 level....why would he want a paycut? no one is ever going to pay him that much again....hes not woth 23 mil....he knows it....he needs to get it while he still can.

still interested to see how mayhew thought wed be "players" in FA when we have no cap space lol.

I don't that's the way it works, does it? You offer him a good extension, basically telling him that - "you might make less this year but we're adding a bunch of years". Otherwise why would anyone do a restructure?

very likely not at the start of the year and that's why I said at no time end up worse than #4. I fully expect it to be those three then Thomas when they're all healthy. I just expect two of the three not to be 100% healthy when the season starts. all in all I guess I'm just saying I think that will be our primary WR group and anybody else who's brought in will be a KR/PR and deep threat only. watch, Tedd Ginn or Brandon Tate or somebody.

Kris Durham>Mike Thomas

Thomas will be the number 5 most of the season if not cut. Especially if they need someone on the outside.

lol, you're silly on this one kid. Durham won't even make the roster, lol. watch!

re-structure to either get more guaranteed money or more up-front money.

durham blows and thomas will be a number 5 that we pay 5 mil for.....another genious move by mayhew.

The best way to save cap space outside of a Stafford restructure is to cut some vet contracts and replace them with draft picks. That kind of went out the window when we found out our round 1 OT is better suited to play FB, our round 2 WRs went to the hospital ward (1 orthopaedic surgery, 1 mental), and our round 2 tandem RBs of thunder and lightning are more like molasses and porridge (YPC and brain). But Mayhew is a genius, he got us Delmas (gone), SLH (gone), Houston (gone), Corey Williams (gone), Alphonso Smith (WTF happened? -Schwartz), Sheffler (gone), KVB (6 mil dead money hit), Lojack (possibly gone), and Levy (yay!). Douche.

LKP/Tony

Youre just being negative about the whole thing and its getting old.

Cheeno/Hughes

No really...they are gone. Is there an optimistic way of saying they are gone? Ps....were losing all these guys and we still dont have any cap room. So you have a bunch of shit on your team making a ton of money. perfect example is instead of worrying about your cap space the following year you go out and do a mid year trade for a shit WR (Thomas) that you waist yet another 4th round pick on just so he can sit on his ass and collect a check and then probably cut the following off season or pay $5 mil too. either way....it was dumb. gratz ^^
